Sandpaper my tears and engraver

My vicissitudes with Lux stars. Making her staff I felt like I'm going to be her pro gamer and take a platinum.
What were the difficulties? I had to polish the star with sandpaper and my tears. But surface wasn't smooth and had some defects. And everything was visible, when it was painted (look at the photo). I remade it several times, but result was still bad.
But today... With your support I bought new tool - engraver, which helped to make polishing of such difficult object as star much faster. Now after painting the star it is smooth and without defects.
Thank you for your support. Now making of Lux staff is going quicker.
