You are so right. As a retired diesel mechanic in the trades I know that all to well. I never tell people what I’m doing till after it’s done. If I listened to people I wouldn’t have what I have today. It’s like everything I do is secret in ways. I have my plan and goals which are fluid in a lot of respects but I keep going forward because I like everyone else doesn’t know how much time we have left. So in ending time management is a big deal in my retirement years and totally focusing on myself and not getting dragged into things like volunteer work etc that doesn’t pay any dividends.

Working in a fast growing tech company, I am surrounded by go getters. Outside of work? I’d rather be alone than with NPC gym goers

I became friends with a guy I used to go to high school with , a year later. Back in HS I used to think he was cool and now I cant stand some of the shit he does. He dropped outta high school and does nothing but smoke and lay in the house. I think the most productive thing he does is put together an outfit for his Instagram account. I cant even follow him because all he posts is garbage and blasts all his personal business like it's a reality TV show. I've encouraged him to go into the trades like I have but all he wants is an “easy“ route.

This video came in at perfect timing. I just had an hour convo with my best friend who is a WINNER! We are both single and are talking about buying our first 4-Plex next year. I also talked to him about certain people that I want to cut off because they are worthless and take take take and never give. The timing of the video is crazy Let's WIN!

Scientists not only publish papers, but teach students. So if you only count published papers as success you get distorted data. And in other profession this applies too. If you only caount 1 thing as success you can't see other successfull people in other aspects.

This reminder is like the polar star and I need to check every once in a while. I want to know how do you really spot that kind of people, for example, in a 30 mins job interview? I interview people and sometime I do get a sense of ‘this is the one who is gonna walk the talk’. But do you have some more info on this? Thanks Coach!
