This is spoken about in books on American social status. It also says a lot about a person if they choose a pit bull which the stereotype created a "misunderstood" idea around it. What can you deduce about someone who identifies with the "misunderstood" dog?

I love the way you talked about dogs and how easily it can be converted into human beings. I kept waiting for the analogy with human beings and the usefulness of stereotypes for people.

But can't some breeds be cultured (trained) to behave good or bad? In other words, if a golden retriever is abused and not trained, won't it be just as bad as a dalmation?

Actually as a person that works in the animal industry, more often than not chihuahuas are alot quicker bitters than pits. I think its because they know that they cant cause major damage.

You are completely wrong. I have no idea where you got such an outrageous idea. I was just talking about different dog breeds, and how temperament is also different among different breeds. That, and that stereotypes are many times accurate, even if not in every case.

Stereotypes and generalizations have been under attack for a while now by the left as a means of mind control. They don't want "discrimination" in the basic sense of the word. And it's pushed under the pretext of compassion.

I don't know how many times in a public park I've been told "(s)he doesn't bite". Why would you think to say that if it wasn't the case?

My point is that that they oblivious to the danger those dogs can be, because they don’t see themselves as vulnerable. It is a perfect analogy for certain hyper violent migrants from shithole countries.

I went on vacation to visit family with my 2.5 y.o. boy recently. My brother and sister each have pit bulls. I swear I’ve never been on edge as I was around those dogs with my boy present. They both swore up and down that they had good dogs, and they’d never bite. I was ready to blast those bastards if they even snarled at me or my boy

In addition to the steretypes about shitbulls being true there is also a large number of pit nutters who take those stereotypes very personally indeed. They're the dog owner equivalent of white lefties who fall in love with certain demographic groups that are over represented in crime statistics and so defend them zealously from any and all forms of criticism. If your friend has a shitbull I'd stay away from their house full stop because they are in denial about their dog's capacity for harm and in particular their tendency to attack with no prior history and conceal the signs they're about to attack
