Weekly Webinar #25: “My Skydiving Adventure”

Comments

Any indoor skydiving places around you? Won't be the same -- the view sucks, obviously -- but it might give you some of the same tactile sensations (like the feeling of floating). Plus you can learn to do acrobatic stuff. Example: https://www.iflyworld.com/

Where can I see the videos , how do I participate in the webinars?

I would think he has his kids in mind. His choice is extremely reasonable.

Very touching story coach. The part of people depending on you. I know the feeling. There are things we want to do in life but need to make sure the people that are in our lives are safe under our protection. You will get that itch again in something new. Like in the 48 laws of power. Never dwell on your last happiness.

You can overcome the lack of depth perception There are technologies you can make or use Dont give up like a bitch People have overcome much more difficult obstacles

They have limited range and probably won't even get a meassure from moving target. Some radar like device probably would be better, but there could be a lot of interference.

What if you take a laser distance meter with you? They are mostly used for construction

I totally feel you Coach. I know this feeling perfectly. Reminds me of my own experience of this. I had dreams of being a Football (Soccer) player since I was a little kid of 4. At 8 I got scouted for one of the best teams in the English premier league. We had to go back to our country (Iran) and I lost that opportunity. I was never able to fit into the culture of Iran that well and despite my massive talent I ended up being a failure in the sport because I couldn't connect with anyone on my team for god sake. No one would pass me the ball. I was also dealing with multiple foot injuries that I always had and I had them since birth. We moved to Canada a few years ago and I decided to give it another shot despite Canada not being a very good place for Soccer talents to be revealed. I eventually ended up with so many injuries as a result of my birth given injury that I could hardly walk. All this while my dad is a Physiotherapist. He and a few of his colleagues told me I have to stop other wise I might have to do multiple risky surgeries on my foot which could result in me never walking again. This was when I knew I had to give it up. I was depressed for a long time and lost as to what to do now that I have lost my goal. I have now decided to be a Football coach despite it being much tougher for someone who's not a pro in the field. I'm going to go for it as its all I've ever wanted in my life! So I found a way around it to make it in! Now its just a matter of courage, action and dedication.

When I was in 9th grade, I was the worst basketball player on the JV team. I spent the entire off-season practicing and training so that I'd be at least average. FIRST DAY (and within the first 5 minutes) of practice the next season, I also shattered my ankle and needed surgery. Missed the whole season and never got to play basketball again. It was an important event in growing up. It sucked, but I learned quite a bit from that experience.

We each have our limitations. Your lesson brought me to tears reflecting on my own. It's hard to walk away. Sometimes that's the only and best choice.

Great webinar Coach. Confronting reality with pragmatism is the best move. There are other ways to experience exhilaration, euphoria, conquering fears and boosting confidence. You tried 1 of the biggest, jumped twice, both times experiencing a dangerous situation under 100 feet, caused by a physical flaw you were born with. First time you ate dirt. Second time you badly broke 1 leg. Jumping out of planes is not dangerous, hitting the ground is. Do not put your fate in technology. Do something different.
