Why My Patreon Videos Aren’t On Other Platforms
Added 2020-11-20 09:23:44 +0000 UTCRecently, a supporter here on my Patreon channel asked me if it would be okay to use some excerpts from my webinars on a different platform. He had found the webinar very illuminating, and wanted to share it and discuss it with other people.
I was very flattered—but I had to tell him “No”.
As I told this very kind man, the +150 videos and webinar recordings I have so far posted on Patreon are exclusively for you guys supporting me here. It would be unfair—unfair to you—if I let the material I produce here appear for free somewhere else.
Just so that you know: It does not appear anywhere else—nor will it ever.
I have on occasion used short snippets of videos I’ve made here to get people to check out the Patreon channel. I've posted these sporadic teasers on my CRP channel and my GL channel—but they’ve never been more than 60 seconds in length or so, just to pique people’s interest.
I’m telling you this so that you know for a fact that the +150 videos and webinar recordings that you will find here do not appear anywhere else.
It’s very important for me that you feel that you are getting your money’s worth. I’m not interested in you giving me a “tip”—that just feels to me like charity. Rather, I want our relationship to be clearly transactional: You give me money, and in exchange I deliver a fully produced video every Wednesday, and a fully prepared webinar every Sunday.
I want to feel that you are my customers, because I think this is a more honest and straightforward relationship. You pay—and I deliver. That’s the deal.
I just wanted to tell you this so that you know where I stand; why I declined this supporter’s very gracious request; and why I am relentless in delivering quality content here exclusively to you guys.
Best as always, CRP
