Courage and emotional control of your reaction to fear is not something you do overnight. You prepare for fear by exposing yourself to fear in larger and larger doses. There is not limit to your ability to control fear. You start small and build up. Also, courage is something that needs to be topped up every once in a while. An example is asking a hot girl for directions on the street. Then you ask another girl for recommendations on good cafes. Then you ask another girl why she recommends a particular choice of venue. Then you poke at another girl by mocking her choice of venue. Then you flirt with a girl by saying that you would take her there if she was dressed better. Do these things as big or small steps as you like but be assured that your fear will stop you if you make too big a jump, at least at the start ;) Dan Peña on youtube talks a lot about how fear holds you back. In my opinion developing courage is the essential missing ingredient most self help coaches leave out of their teachings. When you have no fear you can and will do anything.

Sure COVID is real but the statistics hide the fact that the total deaths have not gone up on an annual basis have not gone up 2018 2019 & 2020. What kind of Pandemic is that? Yes we are supposed to buy into mass vaccinations to save us from what???? I know 5 people that have got it and they all recovered on their own... I also know of 4 people in their 20s that have committed suicide from the Lockdowns. Which is more dangerous?

You content is insightfull, interesting, new and educational. But I've done my researches and pretty sure that covid is a real thing. Masks help save lives. And people who still dont believe in covid and tell vague theories about fear etc I mean come on :) Half my family was ill btw. And I have friend who did lose their family members. And I know couple doctors who's young patients died of covid. A lot of them.

right and wrong. Yes, people can profit from a crisis. But that's not the big lesson. The big lesson and reason they come out on top of a crisis is because they see it happening before it does and plan for it. So for example, when this financial crisis happens, the people who will 'suffer' are those with like 20 mortgages, where the price will go down 10 times. So, they will have tons of debt with no asset to back it up. The people who will win will cash out in time.

In retrospect, and speaking only for myself, I would have preferred getting a 2-week bad flu and healing from it and being done with it than dealing with the year of hell we've just had and surrendering freedoms I may never get back.

Gonzalo, as much as I respect your point of view in many topics, as much as I agree the media is controlled in every country, you should abstain from talking about the virus and politicizing this issue. I live in Mexico and we are seeing death all around us. Many neighbors and acquaintances are dying every day because of the virus. This is not something the media told me, it's something almost every Mexican is seeing with his own eyes. And it's not just restricted to "old people", it's people of all ages who are dying. Yes, you have a higher chance of dying if you're old, but there are other several factors which influence this factor, many of them being unknown. Yes, not everyone's dying because of it, but even if you get it there's a high chance of getting sequels like lung damage which makes you unable to do simple stuff like working out and having a proper life. I've seen it with my own eyes (my neighbor, 40 year old)! I guess the death wave hasn't come close to you or most of the people commenting and you should feel lucky about it. The fear of death here is REAL cause we've seen it with our own eyes, we felt the same about the virus 6 months ago: "it's a conspiracy, it's fake, etc, etc.", until your close ones start to die. So I appeal to your knowledge of the biases we all have to examine more your opinion as a public person. BTW, I hate leftists as much as you do, but many of your followers in the right are following the same path of decadence in the US as leftists but in a different way: they believe civilization is indestructible, that a virus can't wreck what we call normal life. Well, it sure can. Remember: "pride goeth before the fall". Yes, we can't live a full year under lockdown, it's me a guy in the travel sector telling you that. But precisely because governments of the far right in your case, and the far left in Mexico didn't implement full lockdown from the start, it's that we didn't fight the virus and the power of locking down has been diminished. That's right. The point is not to stop the virus 100%, that's impossible. The goal is to DECREASE THE CHANCE of transmitting and getting the virus.

Masks don't do shit. Unless it's that N95 shit but still, it can land on your eyes, or any where else on your body and get introduced to your system via other routes. In any case, I see it at my maskless gym all the time... None of us, myself included, wear masks. Every once in a while a new person will come in, wearing a mask. They eventually take it off. Every. Single. Time. They're weak, conformist cowards. They know the masks won't help them. They only wear them because they're told to and because they're so pathetic when it comes to their fear of getting dirty looks that they'll put some stupid rag on their face because CNN said something and some old lady might bitch at them. Crazy what folks were willing to die for 300 years ago vs. today.

Coach, I hear you and I am working on it. I hope this doesn't cause me to sound crazy but I have seen something supernatural. Not sure if it was a project blue book experience or what. Modern psychology sucks and I just want to make my business better. I also deleted my Facebook account because I fucked up and put my pearls before swine and got suspended for like the 13th time. I no longer fear anything but fear itself and just try to learn as much as I possibly can from books and virtual mentors like you. virus particles are carried in water droplets (breathing/sneezing etc) so masks do trap them to an extent, but not perfectly. Masks do help, I think there are studies showing that.
