I will forsure watch these movies. But shouldn't The Dark Knight rises be in the list? The joker in that movie is so relevant still today.

I wished the Red dead redemption games were a show/movies Dutch van der Linde is one of the best antagonists ever created. If you're not familiar with him watch some clips. Great voice acting and you understand why all the posse members follow him (it's about an outlaw gang at the end of the wild west era).

There's this movie from 1999 called "The Matrix". It's a cool movie. Its metaphors have been appropriated by an entire generation of men and shaped their political discourse, transcending the intention of its original creators who found themselves on the opposite camp and have unsurprisingly failed at creating anything of any impact since. You should watch it.

The Revenant (2015)
The Big Short (2015)
The Artist (2011)
Spotlight (2015)
Vertigo (1958)
12 Angry Men (1957)

I think The Departed and Lawrence of Arabia are major films to watch. Dark Knight was great too.
Also, what are your thoughts on mad max fury road?
As an action movie it blew me away. Went way beyond my expectations. It was a bit silly to see Charlize Theron go toe to toe with Tom Hardy nina fist fight...but other than that, it was phenomenal.

If by your own admission I'm on the mark about other filmmakers . . . wouldn't it mean I'm more likely correct with regards to Kubrick?

There haven’t been any good movies in the last 10–15 years. If you think I’m wrong, please name some.

This guy doesn't mention a single movie from 2005 and beyond. Heavily influenced in the past.

Brilliant presentation. I agree that the great age of movies is over, as are the peaks of the novel, classical music, etc etc. Where will the talent go next? I'm pessimistic. There were eras in the past of low creative energy, and I think we're in one of those already. We're all overwhelmed by curating the massive amounts of media available to us, and basically we sit around in a stupor.

Any reason why "The Untouchables" didn't make the list? and "American Psycho"?
