I’ve been learning Spanish for over 2 years and I still can’t say I fully mastered it, although I know enough to communicate with natives in Mexico and Lat Am without sounding stupid or ignorant. Basically I practiced an average of 3 lessons a day on Duolingo. You can apply this concept to anything, whether it’s music, or advanced multidimensional quantum rocket surgery.

I used to wonder why nobody would side with the innocent victim during a fight, even if there was video evidence proving that Alex assaulted Bob for no reason. People only side with the aggressor Alex because he is 'cooler' than Bob the victim.

Coach, another video is to warn us about these unwritten cool kid rules which travel and apply from school, to university, and finally the office. For example according to the cool kids: if a girl says she has been raped everyone can say she is acting childish, however if she reports it that means the man must be guilty even if video evidence proves him innocent... Everyone sides with the woman, despite video evidence flying around social media showing he was like 5 meters away the whole time. The above is a true example that even 26 year old university students say -_-.

Coach, please warn us young men to always wear a condom, because if a girl lies about being on the pill we are responsible for the child and will have our salary cut. We might have a dream job, but the judge will force us to swap to something that pays more to better support the child. In Canada, if a guy lies about having a vasecomy he will be put in prison for rape! But girls can lie about being on the pill without going to prison and the man must pay child support.

Coach, you once said autism is a choice. Can you describe a pathway where very intelligent people, who have neglected social skills can go around improving their soft skills. Many introverted intellectual types reach a wall where their disregard for social nuances sets real limits for what they can acheive. They may recognize it's not pure smarts that gets you ahead, but that rather for intelligence to be truly effective it needs to be balanced with the ability to influence and inspire people, to win their sympathies to your cause. That means things like small talk and innocuous gossip are things they need to become comfortable with. Clearly soft skills are required for business success, but they are fundamental for success with women who largely make their decisions through the prism of feelings. Yet the stakes are so high in romance that it may be better for the socially awkward first to become comfortable with their own sex, then women in a platonic setting, in a series of progressions. Are there books, movies or strategies you can suggest? Are there great literary classics where this process is depicted (like Educating Rita but for men). Perhaps an autobiographical example is Warren Buffet, who through his friendship with Katherine Graham blossomed from an obscure Omaha business man to a seasoned socialite comfortable with the intricacies of social etiquette and comfortable in the company of Presidents and A-class celebrities.
