Pre watching thought about communism; the difference between a right wing free thinker and a left wing communist. Is that the free thinker will always respect and even understand the communist, but the communist will never do the same.

The real historical tragedy here, and which enables socialism / communism to continue springing up to this day, is that there was never a Nuremberg trial for communist crimes by virtue of USSR being one of the victors of World War II. What many people today also don’t know is that the communist government of USSR was allied with Nazi Germany up until 1941 when Hitler (to his own peril) decided to go back on the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact that Nazi Germany he signed with the USSR and invade. This is why around the world the Second World War it is known as World War II which started in 1939, but in USSR it was always referred to as “The Great Patriotic War” which started in 1941, because for two years the Nazis and the Communists were allies. Unfortunately it looks like it will take another huge atrocity of the communists to bring them to trial and permanently stigmatize that ideology, just as was done with Nazism. But they would need to be defeated first.
