Feb Donation and Update

This month is $50 to The Nation Resources Defense Council and $100 to The American Civil Liberties Union.

I usually keep my political opinions out of my content but when I'm publicly making donations toward civil rights and environmental activism, it's a little more obvious what my leanings are. The ACLU does good work fighting legal battles, like trying to keep people's rights like trans rights, and US birthright citizenship, both of which are being threatened very much right now. And the NRDC works on environmental causes, like trying to stop the Keystone XL pipeline from being "restarted".

These things are important to me and the least I can do is share my feelings with people around me. I care about the environment and the well being of others.

Update

On a separate note, I'm still busy working on my freelance job, that should last until March, BUT I do have a video almost ready for the main channel about animation tips as well as a big BlockBlender update due for the middle of this month. I have a new person handling the BlockBlender development now, and stairs and slabs are coming, as well as an integrated schematic exporter.

BlockBlender 2.0 is going to be listed as a separate product, but patrons who bought the old one will get the update for free, and existing customers will get a steep discount. I'm doing this so the new developer can get some good money from initial sales.

I have a few more video ideas planned for the main channel, they will most likely be smaller in scope, focusing on a different animation tip per video. And if I have time, then I'll start a new beginner video.

I hope you all are doing well. Have a good one!

Keeping your sort-of party political views out of things is quite natural to avoid alienation. It’s also easy for you guys in the US since both parties aren’t that dissimilar. More broadly, political values can’t be kept entirely out of things. Your noble charity efforts themselves go against political ideologies like ‘Objectivism’, after all. My point is not to worry too much about it. While I appreciate why you would not want to be overtly political, this sort of thing needn’t be a worry. I’ve just become a patron after reading this fwiw. Best wishes, mate.
