Pill Pod 90 - Post-Marxism & Pragmatism (Exclusive)

Recorded in Toronto, and edited in Spain (more on that to come). This week features the never-before-seen duo of Erik and Victor, who talk about Hardt, Negri and Peirce and define both post-Marxism and Peircian pragmatism in a windy episode (I usually plan the eps rather authoritarianly, but some free-association may be what we need, here and there). More from us soon!

(I can't add the attachment to the article from where I'm at, but let me know if you want it and I'll add it next week. It is Hardt's presentation at the Idea of Communism conference).

Which Deleuze book on Spinoza is coming? The big one on expression or the practical philosophy book?

Jonathan White

What's that Benjamin paper you referred to?

Great stuff, good to see the abolition of property and value form getting touched upon in an Idea of Communism episode. Always great to listen to Erik go off on anything semiotics related, too. Yeah, Pills, please link the attachment if possible, it's always a great accompaniment.

Pragmatism is the Merleau-Ponty of philosophical traditions, always ingeniously in the middle-ground with the best of both sides of an opposition

Rockwell Gulassa

Have you tried some basic papers and concepts from Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy? It is kind of straight laced, but should be good enough for a start. SEP usually has a good overview of introductory sources.

After listening to this, being a "Deleuzo-Anarchist" with an interest in semiotics, I'm curious to learn more about Pierce. Do you have any recommendations on where to start to get a high level working knowledge of some of his foundational concepts and approaches? I want to get into some of this "Pure Gold"
