Came back to this to relisten to Diego's comment on Latin American languages not having a subject "I" that is not in active relationship with the world. I think to create the new, escape the language that recreates the consciousness for exploitation, will take something that looks like a psychosis. Disconnecting, devaluing the bourgeoise liberal subject "I", irrational action that WILL result in your death, for a self greater in scale than our liberal subject self bound by skin. This sounds crazy but it happens all the time in war; the myth of the "nation self" usurps the rationality of protecting the life of the individual self. It is sublime, inexpressible in language and, to rationality, psychotic. But it is rational, just at a different scale. It is the spirit of terrorism. The new cannot "make sense". It just is, then retrospectively it is given a story in the language of the time. But by its action of becoming it's changed the reality that the language inhabits. When you see language changing, know change has occurred. Just as an individual wave has no free will, as the forces that bring it into existence are much greater than itself, if it acts with a sense of self as the whole imperceivable ocean, it may have faith that this greater self is influenced by its tiny actions, as it IS it. The wave is the ocean. We are the Tao. I don't know if anyone will ever read this, but I hope they do and I hope it makes them feel something.
