the efficacy of Qanon shows the power of pure narrative. They see through the lenses of neoliberal ideaology and seized their own. We also need to look past reality and make our own reality we want to see. If they can manifest their psychotic delusions, we can too but in a way that uplifts.

Yea totally, I saw how that convo was going to go which is why I said "anything is better than nothing" and muted myself. If you wait for a perfect strategy everything will certainly continue as it has been, only irritations lead to unpredictable outcomes, not strategies

The discussion over the climate painting protests reminds me of one of your comments way back during your systems theory series Pills, when you described whether leftist streamer Hasan Piker was genuine or a grifter as irrelevant because he's still spreading leftist messaging that acts as a systemic irritant. I take a similar view to these protests here and is why I feel the only worthwhile position is critical support. The whole point of the protest is, as Chris said, to establish the narrative that "you care more about these irreplaceable paintings than our irreplaceable environment". When people say, like Matt and Vic did, that the protests are failing because they're not having the intended effect and are just creating a negative image of climate protesters, it becomes a defeatist and self-fulfilling statement. The whole point is to actively change the narrative, who cares if it's a psy-op or if you actually think it is stupid, the best thing to do is to try to amplify the side of story that says "You care more about these paintings than the environment". As you've shown Pills, the battle today is over mythos and narrative, so when a weapon presents itself we should take seize it and take advantage of it, imperfect as it may be.
