"Freedom-from interference" is a 400-year-old definition that covers a few bases but not much beyond that. We looked to Maurice Merleau-Ponty's phenomenology in this book (https://amzn.to/3OdpzwL) to give us something a little better.

Love Mβsieur Merleau-Ponty - reading the Adventures of the Dialectic at the moment where he discusses objectivism/subjectivity and moving beyond βthe end of history.β He brings up the weight of the positive in this too.

The opposite extreme, free power, ultimate tyranny, impenetrable structure, full exposure, internal void; seems equally lifeless. Life is liminal, maybe even to liminality itself
