When they had the license, Archie Comics published comics based on the Sonic TV Shows, like Sonic X and Sonic Boom. And considering that IDW has published comics based on the different TMNT shows...what are the chances we could possibly see a "Sonic Prime" Comic series from IDW?

Ian, are you always surprised when a Sonic ship either gets a spike in popularity or becomes popular due to how you write the two interacting, or have you gotten to a point to expect it? I recall you mentioning being surprised by how popular Tangle x Whisper got, but were you also surprised by similar instances such as Knuxamy due to the Shattered Arc, Tails x Honey from the Champions arc, and Shadaze due to Sonic Universe #1 and the Treasure Team Tango arc?

Ian, you said that Jeff Smith's Bone was a big inspiration/reference for you.  Bone is genuinely one of if not my favorite published works and I'd love to hear you two just talk about it.   Do you have any experience with it Kyle?  Do you have a favorite volume? (Great Cow Race is Near perfect in my eyes). As beloved as it is, I don't hear a ton of talk about Bone and I'd like to hear your perspective (And what are your thoughts on quiche?)

During Sonic Twitter Takeover 3, when asked on what of music Eggman, Sonic, and Shadow like it listen to respectively, Shadow’s answer is classic rock, and according to TV Tropes, its implied that his favourite bands/artists within the genre in-mind are Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, and Queen. Would Shadow listen to modern rock as well, such as LINKIN PARK, Breaking Benjamin, Green Day, Puddle of Mudd, and more given the time period he was first introduced?

In IDW Sonic issue 27, Cream showed that she can do spin dashes like Sonic & Tails when she & Gemerl were fighting Zena for the Chaos Emerald. I don't know if I missed something but, why is it that Amy can't do spin dashes like Cream & the others?

What's it like being assistant editor on Tales of Aether? Does it mean you have to oversee and approve art (and if we were to ever get any Tales of Aether stuff from a writer other than you, scripts) like an editor at a normal comic book company would? I had figured Lawrence, Herms, and Morelli's involvement was you going to the Aether guys and going "hey these guys do good work you should hire them" but given that you're editor, does that mean you hired them yourself (likely with the approval from the other Aether guys)? Are you getting paid both a salary as an editor plus the page rates as a writer?

I think this is ok to ask, but let’s pretend you were given the ok to write a crossover between IDW Sonic and Archie Sonic. How would you handle this? Aside from characters meeting themselves (unless you took measures to prevent that for simplicity’s sake) what would Dr. Starline think of Snively or Robotnik Prime even? Would he and Thunderbolt fanboy/fangirl together? Would IDW Shadow and Archie Shadow hate each other? Would Rough and Tumble join the Destructix? What other interactions would you like to see? Starline and Geoffrey? IDW Chaotix and Archie Mighty, Ray, Julie-Su, and Saffron? The Restoration and the Freedom Fighters?

alright so now that I know you've played some Metroid in the past, I gotta ask - given your take on Doppleganger characters, what is your take on the X-Parasites as sort of this sci-fi horror concept, what with their John Carpenter-tier ability to mimic living organisms. Do you feel like in some areas they could be improved upon or do you feel they're just fine as they are for what they are. Also, ya know I just have to know, since I can't use Dark Samus for this (at least not yet anyways) - how much of a horror story would you get out of the SA-X being thrown into Sonic's world, given what the SA-X represents in Metroid: Fusion?

I got a deep and philosophical question for ya's: I've seen people talk about how they want certain parts of Sonic fanon to be Sonic canon, whether it's a relationship, a character's personality, what breakfast cereal is their favorite, etc. But my question is Why?, why do some people (including ourselfs) care very deeply to have their innermost (or profoundly public) ideas about the blue blur and his ragtag posse put out for mass media consumption?

Would Vector and Sam get along or would they keep bumping heads trying to manage all the different sidequests before they can solve the main mystery? How much fun/trouble would Charmy and Max get into? And just how would Espio keep his sanity through it all?

I have a quick question about Mimic from the IDW comics. Can he breathe underwater along with air (aka aquatic respiration) since he’s an octopus?

In a previous podcast, Ian spoke on how "current events" made sonic's stance on eggman a bit tone deaf. I just want to say acknowledging that means a lot to me. I am one of those people dealing with "current events" .  I wanted to get that out the way.

After that you talked about how this was to justify sega's stance on the characters in regards to eggman and that they don't keep track of them. My question is , Shadow seems to be hellbent trying to track down eggman. Is that the difference between the characters now in sega's eyes? Shadow's the only one actively seeking any action or change and no one else seems to really care?

I was curious if the Communication Outpost from Archie Sonic #189 that Dr. Eggman used was a major part of a giant communication system that doubled as signal jamming stations. I'm asking because one of the things I was always curious about was why the people of Mobius weren't able to coordinate properly until after it was destroyed.

Who created Captain Whiskers? I actually noticed that, him having a bumbling pirate personality is similar to one of Cubot's voices in Colors. Do you think Eggman is the one who created Whisker, or at the very least gave him the personality he has?

A few years ago you said that you would be down to write a Mario and Sonic crossover comic. How would that work? Would as comical and light hearted as the story presented in the olympic titles? Or would be something along the lines of worlds collide, where it it played it straight for the most part but still had a sense of fun.

I was thinking of making retrospective video about Knuckles, so there’s something I want to know before I do. Was it mandated by Sega to not allow Knuckles to use chaos powers like he used to in the Archie comics? As a guardian, there are so many abilities he should have that just doesn’t (turning super, flight, chaos powers, etc). Not to mention, Blaze has a bunch of abilities as a guardian but Knuckles doesn’t. Is there any chance of these past abilities showing up in the IDW comics at some point?

if the name "Bumblekast" was for some strange reason not able to be used as a brand name for what Ian and Kyle do, (like say a witch cursed Ian and Kyle from using the words "Bumblekast" or ever coming up with the idea in the first place) what alternative brand name would Ian and or Kyle use?
