(published in 2008) - it attempts to bridge Luhmann’s Systems Theory (as part of a broader ‘informational paradigm’) with Peirce’s semiotics (part of a ‘semiotic paradigm’) to address/describe the increasing complexity of our ‘information age’ (or perhaps, now, with the rise of algorithmically mediated communication, our ‘data age’)… maybe some juicy content there for you both
