lacanian psychoanalysis already theorized the subject as exterior and its virtual dimension; the relation between fiction and truth. Anyway, question is, how does the Unconscious (freudian-lacanian) play, if it does at all, in the AI feedback loop — the latter which is the most blatant form of the avoidance of castration thus far imagined amd produced. clearly a product not only of the fantasy of the enlightenment but the desire to avoid ‘knowledge’ as distinct from information, but really unconscious knowledge originatimg in the inescapable and primal confrontation w differnce which is language and symbolization itself? a related question: can AI produces the inter- relationship of analyst analysand … i think not. Can AI hear the unconscious of the analysand? Can you hear the unconscious thru the accumulation and processing of data? so insofar as access to the unconscious, its excess, that of impossible symbolization, is, as the source of creativity, that’s all still possible…. so aesthetics and its related categories still the place of the human, tho certainly not humanism, or AI. but as to the end of realism or the fantasy of ‘reality’ …..As u said, really no different than it ever was, but a certain delusion about ‘reality’…Parrhasius’ veil…is gone. would be nice… but i doubt that. theres just another layer of fantasy, the stand in for humanist delusion, continued in AI.
