Baudrillard on the OBESE: Fatal Strategies II (Video Exclusive)

This is the first "figure of the transpolitical." We tend to make a big  deal about the form of body we produce ourselves as in the current  mediascape, but Baudrillard has a hot take on which body we should  consider the form of our age. Fatal Strategies Link: https://amzn.to/3usNspr

Totally agree with that shit about gym rats and fatties. I've never understood gym culture. In a gym, I have trouble not bursting into uncontrollable laughter. Have you ever just watched someone look at themselves in the mirror while lifting weights? It's pretty fucking entertaining. But Christ, if I'm not doing the same fucking shit in grad school. Life is a trip. "Look how interesting and different MY paper is. Look how spectacular MY CV is. OOOOOOOO, I'm so smart and cool." Goddammit Baudrillard. Why you gotta do this to me when term papers are due?

Second (it's my birthday, so i'm being a spectacular prima donna today. Your welcome, lol.) You said "Blows up that Secret" lol. Good one. I'm really appreciating Baudrillard's description of political media as a "Scandal Machine". You introduced me to that Idea in a previous episode, but it a was a timely insertion, that penetrated my Real. So- I'll just say: I'm diggin this series. Enjoying the (BEST)good-faith disagreement, as it comes up, and I'll see u in the next one's comments! arrivederci for now, yo!

First (i'll try and limit to one more- and that's it- at end of viewing) comment: Yes. "Made up" is the right way to describe.... well; whatever...but the important, and thankfully functional aspect of that way of looking at the Real- is it is "made up" of stuff. Things. Parts. Details. Chemicals, etc. And the trick is an alchemical metaphysical one. The right order and ingredients will produce more than the sum of their parts. I like where we're going, my very good friend, but we aren't there yet. Back to the beginning (Kant) and we'll be good. Lots more to do- one more comment before i move on...
