Reiner Schurmann wrote "Broken Hegemonies" ( i found a free pdf on line). I haven't read it, but Schurmann does a chapter on Plotinus Enneads arguing that every 'hegemony is internally broken by an anarchic power," (Quote from some academic's abstract on the book), i.e., Split in the origin...could be very useful/helpful in theory of the "one"--- as already divided in the an-archy of first principles...etc. Anyway...better to stick with the primary text, of course, but I think Schurmann is the best post Heidegerrean philosopher. And helpful if we are to locate Plotinus outside the typical reception.
