2023-05-22 00:33:05 +0000 UTCReally enjoyed the note on a given societies conception of an advanced society being imprinted with the characteristics of it's own. It truly is very difficult to know how to not only imagine but then properly believe in living in a society that was just so profoundly different from ones own that you truly could not comprehend it without saying years or even a lifetime of immersion within it. Something so different that a utopian novel concerning it would've insufficient to convey it, leaving the reader still quite bewildered about what anything was *for.* Also as always, Eric's "gong" or whatever it is around 1:10:00 always brings a smile to my face. Long live the gong aka perhaps a new metal trashcan he kicks in excitement haha.
