Incredible job w exposition and explanation. Love S’s thought. Spawns so much of the coolest philosophical metaphysics of modern thinking: Freud, Nietzsche, Lacan, Heidegger, phenomenology, semiotics…Schopenhauer’s thought is there like the bass line. Not always what’s most salient, but always the structure: the recto and verso of a piece of paper.

You are not wrong in your connecting some philosophical theory with a way to explain this dreadful situation in Gaza. The problem I have is understanding why people are arguing over these things? It isn't really supporting the situation. It takes away from the real crisis at hand. They engage in these conflicts online but how does it help anything? On a different note, I cannot say I even watch the news anymore. I feel the news provides very little credible information. It's become a product with variances to suit all people's political preferences. I want to follow but need to know I can trust the source. I don't even know if I can trust Cspann. That recommendation came from Noam Chomsky. But who knows if it is still a good one? I cannot find out who donates to Cspann to to consider the potential bias. I just read books. The connection about modeling you made is not far off. Even modeling in economics must disregard certain variables to try to simulate a situation to determine that outcome if one thing at a time changes to eventually reach a desired outcome. How you keep up with the latest news so calmly? I'm pretty f***ing miserable having to try to connect to the world out there. Yet, I came so much about these people. Genocide is not something I expected to witness during my lifetime. Do you do Q&As? I have a ton of questions. I kind of do this approach where I learn about the philosopher and their life to better understand their philosopizing.

So could you say that representation exists within the symbolic/imaginary orders while will has at least significant overlaps with the real in psychoanalysis? Love how this metaphysics also implies a strong phenomenological dimension to it as well
