Hi Ian! If Dr. Starline was given the opportunity or task to raise a chao how would he do it? Would he train the chao perfectly and make them have the highest level in each ability? Or would he be a negligent caretaker and ignore the chao while he works?

Staying on the topic of everyone's favorite last of his kind guardian of a large green rock, one of the artists of the sonic comic recently mentioned on their social media said that it was indicted by you that since most of the fandom viewed Knuckles as "black", that a human character based on Knuckles should be black. I've seen some fan theories floating around that Knuckles was based on Jamaican/Rastafarian culture, but the only evidence I've seen to support this is "he has dreads" and "his color scheme is the same as the Rastafarian flag". Given that everything else about Echidna culture seems to be based on south American culture, mainly Mayan, what's your take on that? Inb4 "he's red". This artist claimed it was you who said these things, so I was curious what you views were on x character being based on y ethnicity/culture/etc.

Recently been playing a cool racing game called Inertial Drift. It's got me thinking about Arcade Racers and how they are different from Kart racers.

If you were to lead decisions for a Sonic or SEGA racing game, would you stick with the recent Kart style, or shake it up with a more hardcore Arcade experience?

It's to my understanding that Sega has clearly stated that characters that originate from the various Sonic cartoons cannot be touched for the IDW comics. Does that mean you can now share what you would have done with Cosmo and the Metarex for the comic? I'm dying to hear it!

I has question, been trying to wrap my head on how TSR fits in the IDWverse. The only thing that’s throwing me off is Zavok since he worked for Eggman (begrudgingly ofc) in the game but in the comics, he’s shown to want nothing to do with him. How dis fit oh wise King of the Bumbles?

It seem we're getting a plushie of Mephiles in his crystalline form. Does this mean that Sega might be open to having Sonic 06 exclusive content in media like the comic? Even though Mephiles is still officially considered dead, perhaps we can at least get a flashback image or something? Not sure how we can get a flashback to something that never happened, though, but I'm sure you can figure it out.

Ian, will Sonic Team ever provide IDW Sonic with an official design of Amy's house since contents from Sonic X can't be referenced? Sonic Team provided IDW with the official design for Blaze's castle & Classic Amy's house was shown. So will the same happen for Modern Amy?

And if SEGA was to allow a 12-issue crossover arc b/w Classic & Modern Sonic, how do you & Evan Stanley envision Classic Amy's interactions w/Modern Amy, Modern Sonic & the others while teaming up w/Classic Sonic? What threat would the Hard Boiled Heavies & Metal series pose?

So got a question: Since Coconuts was in the genesis Classic Sonic games, would that mean that you can still use the SSS squad (scratch, grounder, and Coconuts) in the comics or no? I miss them.

In regards to SEGA not wanting to use materials and elements from the old Sonic TV shows...I do think it makes very much sense. As good as Satam for instance is, it's not a good representation of the Sonic franchise as it is now, with the characterizations, elements, designs, and so on. The show is good, but I totally get why SEGA isn't doing anything with it....however...There is something that I have been wondering. ...in regards to the debates, and campaigns regarding "Sally For IDW" and so on...what is stopping IDW and/or SEGA from creating their OWN version of Sally Acorn? One created to fit the IDW canon from the start? Like you just keep the name, core personality, and make her recognizable, but you change more or less everything else about her? New design, new backstory, new relation to Sonic, heck maybe she's not even a princess, ETC ETC. Basically a new incarnation that is created to fit within the current canon and also rid of any potential legal baggage. I mean, if SEGA can introduce game characters that originated from the old Sonic Manga, but any ties to the manga is removed...I really don't see why IDW couldn't make their own Sally. But what do you think?

Hey Ian, your run on Mega Man seems to always stick to the mind, man it was fantastic. I do have to ask, did you have any intentions of adapting Mega Man 7's American ending (the infamous "Die Wily!!" one), or the original Japanese where Rock stays silent over Wily's mocking plea that robots can't harm humans, just charging his buster to keep him at bay? Given how personal you made the Light family to Wily, the fact Wily has busted out of prison for MM7, desecrated Guts Man's deactivated body by modifying it into Guts Man G (leading to its eventual destruction at the hands of Mega Man), and several other games and storylines of angst between the two, do you think it may have been humored by Mega Man for even just a moment that he could choose to end this fued with a single buster shot? While dark, it also just sounds like something this kid would think of just briefly considering what more you added between them.
