Thank you Christy for the clarification. So its just what has to be done to get some cash out of it. Obviously we are all Draymond supporters around here, but I can't really blame the guy if he is living check to check.

Plaintiff has to prove his case based on a "preponderance of the evidence" which is a much lower standard than a criminal case ("beyond a reasonable doubt"). But this will never make it to discovery, let alone trial. This will settle quickly and quietly, for only a fraction of what it would actually cost to take it to trial, and I seriously doubt any sort of public apology will be part of the settlement. (I'm an attorney, but I don't handle personal injury)
