2023-08-09 17:21:03 +0000 UTCThe big caveat to your last line is having the appropriate marketing behind the show. AEW has not done this for any other show with local advertising; this is by far their biggest effort (and rightfully so), very reminiscent of what WWE does often for big markets. Is that easy to do? No because it cost a lot more money to do but you have to weigh the positives and negatives with that.

2023-08-09 13:22:03 +0000 UTCOne thing not being mentioned that has helped this show is the amount of time tickets will have been on sale for (over 3 and a half months). In the last year, they've been putting tickets for their North American shows on sale less than 2 months before the show. Even the huge arthur ashe show coming up had an on-sale date less than 2 months before the show. It stands to reason that the longer you make tickets available for, the more you'll sell.
