can’t really talk about Lacanian PA wo talking about the drives, jouissance… etc also w re: to determinism… and over determinism… i think the randomness is the symbolic order big other ur born into… and where determinism comes in is in the capture in the signifying chain that’s part of one’s interpretation of whatever… if ur topology forms the particular knotting of ISR, an interpretation has been made… an uncs investment… that fixes the chain, and that’s what’s determined… psychoanalysis is an ethics, a taking responsibility for that determination…. and a traversal of the fundamental fantasy…. etc. Very complicated ……Lacan a play between endless deferment and capture…… Listening to episode I feel i can feel ur resistance to Psychoanalysis … like u got to see its philosophical error… where it also stumbles… i think that’s legit. And on the other hand, what it contributes to interrupting systems.

That entire conversation on family relied on essentially implying that people that want to abolish the family are projecting their childhood traumas about their families and think everyone is like them. This is like saying that people who are marxists just had bad bosses. Come on guys. I don't agree with abolishing the family necessarily yet hearing that gave me psychic pain.

It would be better for leftists if Cuomo won because Mandani can't possibly change anything and yet we'll get complacent unless we have something to fight against. Democracy is a non starter, but people without any political experience or education will be happy to give up their jobs for a year to take part in sortition (I realize this is a very ignorant description of sortition, how about an episode?). On a side note, it is possible to be a knowledgeable authority in a subject without thereby appropriating power.
