Blackpink Light Up The Sky (REACTION)

Blackpink Light Up The Sky (REACTION)

Comments

You should watch yg treasure box,it's the survival show that made treasure :)

Moyosore

Loved your reaction. I love blackpink so much . But if you want to get a prospective of what their trainee days would look like you shouod watch treasure box . You will see how the comments are so harsh but necessary for them to be who they are now . Blackpink is amazing but I will give 50 percent of credit to yg though for creating these gems and pushing them so hard with their harsh comments otherwise there would be no blackpink no bigbang no ikon no winner or treasure . I respect this company so much for creating artists for life.

You should react to 'The most beautiful life goes on:A story of BTS' on youtube by the youtube channel 'The asian theory' it sums everything about bts that you want to learn

Yuna

Twice have a documentary that's very similar to this. It's called ''seize the light'' but it's a series. There are 9 episodes with each being around 20 min long and it's on Youtube. It'd be really cool if you check it out.

strange& sleepless

Love the reaction! You guys should defs check out 'treasure box'.

Ruby xoxo

Loved this!! I'm also very interested in the journey's of groups and how they paved their road to debut. Stray kids has a survival show called "stray kids" that shows their whole journey. If you want to focus more on yg groups you should check out "treasure box" which is a recent survival show about how treasure debuted and it's on YouTube. Ikon and Winner also debuted through a survival show that's also really good 🤗😚

Their journey is amazing. I think it was a good strategy tho releasing an album 4 years into their careers cause they built a hype. Also Miyeon from G-Idle was supposed to debut with blackpink, but left yg. As for big hit , they were a really small company but they had artists already even a girl group called Glam who disbanded due to a scandal, but when they were planning to debut their boy hip hop group they found RM and thats how it all started. On a recent interview they said there were about 30 trainees, many left cause they changed it to an idol group (example supreme boi was gonna debut with bts but end up being a producer) It would be cool if you react to other groups documentaries or watch them on your own cause it gives another perspective. Im not sure but I think Jihyo, Twice's leader trained for 9 years

i prefer gone as well ngl

fullsun

twice has their documentary on youtube

fullsun

Btw I would highly recommend you guys watch “The revolution: A story of Blackpink” because it talks about the way YG markets blackpink and about their strategy!

Dina

Yeahh you’re right! Very true, I dont really know much about it to be honest so glad you clarified this!

Dina

Also, for more comebacks or more songs, yg has a tradition of pulling out songs highly based on quality over quantity and that’s why most yg artists release songs slower than the other Kpop artists. The song that blackpink recorded at the beginning of this documentary was one of the songs they removed from their album which was originally planned to include 10-12 songs.

Haoyou Cheng

As for the world tour, there are recordings of their concerts in Korea and Japan on YouTube I believe. So you can watch and react to one of them if you guys want to.

Haoyou Cheng

You should prolly watch BTS in the Soop as they will show you how they created/produced the show's theme song.

Trixie Mhae Anne Alba

Makes sense

Okay I just keep commenting as I hear things haha. “Thai” and “Taiwanese” are two totally different things. Lisa is Thai which means she speaks Thai and comes from Thailand. Same with BamBam and Ten. However, there some idols like Tzuyu from Twice and Shuhua from G(I-DLE) who are Taiwanese, which means they speak Chinese and come from Taiwan 😌

Audrey Vasquez

Also the song that Rosé was singing on the floor with her guitar was actually a Blackpink song called "Hope Not" - but you guys were thinking it was her song "Gone" ...but don't feel bad because some fans have compared the two songs as being in the same realm.

Audrey Vasquez

Hey Ous! You were right when you said R&B was "black music" and let me give you the history on it. In the 1940's, the record industry began to promote black groups under the label "rhythm and blues" which was a term invented by a white Billboard writer, Jerry Wexler. The term was invented to replace the derogatory trade name - "race music" - yes, you heard that right. In the book "Group Harmony" Stuart Goosman wrote, "[R&B] Is a marketing term that became a badge of black musical identity. By definition, a black group would always be labeled as r&b even if they sang pop." -page 53

For number 9, I would actually say that the training process was very different with BigHit. All of BTS' rappers have talked about how the first couple years at BigHit they would just use their studios to make music. That's why there are a songs from pre-debut BTS that were made by the members. Once the vocalists came, they had a bit more of a 'trainee' lifestyle, but they still had a lot of freedom. Their CEO has talked about how he never enforced strict schedules, it was just what the members wanted to do. Also, BTS was very much RM's group from the beginning. It started with RM and the company built the group around him. So it wasn't really a 'put the best trainees together', it was more like 'oh we really like this RM kid. Oh, and this Suga kid. And that J-Hope kid! Let's find vocalists for a group with them in it'.

Ophelia

Miyeon from Gidle sje was meant to debut with blackpink but left YG, Bangchan from Stray Kids was meant to debut with GOT7. Ryujin was discovered at a GOT7 fan meet. RM was one of the first members to be picked for BTS, Suga auditioned but went thinking he would be a producer, Jungkook has offers from other companies but went to bighit because of RM. Twice have a documentary called Twice lights on youtube, they were also on producer 101 the first ever season. You are right though about bighit being a start up comapny however they did have glam a girl group but because of a scandal they disbanded and Bighit has no more girl trainees. Jhope, Jungkook and Suga used to be back up dancers for them. Lee Know from stray kids used to be a back up dancer for BTS. Stray kids did have a show where YG vs JYP that is a good show to watch, GOT7 did appear on there as well. Most the stuff about idols you find from interviews or what the company release

This is gonna be long so bear with me😊 1. The song rose sang in the room while playing the guitar in the dark is actually called “hope not”not her solo and you have reacted to it already on your youtube channel! 2. The song they all sang at the beginning of the documentary “ready for for love” has not been released yet. There are fan made versions of it but the actual song isnt released yet. 3. 2NE1 is yg’s first girl group and yes they have disbanded. Tbh with full honesty they weren’t managed properly and just when they started to become vv successful and well known they stopped so that’s yg’s fault. As for the new girl group according to their timeline they should release a new gg approximately beginning of next year/end of this year. It was also rumored that they were naming them baby monsters because they brought the copy rights for the name and it was also one of the options for bp’s name. 4. Rose didnt have to learn korean she spoke korean with her father and fam but she also knows eng obv bcz she was raised in Australia so it was only Lisa who had to learn a new langauge. Thankfully she had Jennie. 5. Rose will be releasing an MV for gone so u dont have to worry about that. However, the song that’s actually more personal to her is on the ground because its her saying that everything u need in order to sore high, become successful, and achieve so much is within u and the people around u. Gone is her taking inspiration from other people’s love lifes more than her own but I would understand why you like it more. 6. Its because you reacted to the Lisa’s documentary that u know just how much she goes through, but actually all members faced a hard time. Jennie is literally the most hated idol, got bashed on and called lazy and told to leave the group. Jisoo was called talentless and undeserving and rose as well so tbh they all faced hardships and I’m just genuinely happy that they have eachother because it still gets really hard at times. 7. YG’s strategy as u saw it first in the video is a “Single, smash, single, hit”. Its basically an “as if its your last” strategy where they tease fans and give them a little, starve them for a year with 0 content, then release a hit and boom, dominate the charts. However, they are starting to release more now bcz of the fans and also bcz the management changed. As for more songs, people have been wanting solos for other members badly so rn this is the main focus. Jennie released hers in 2018, now its rose, this year Lisa will also release hers and then jisoo would release her solo song probably next year because this year she worked on her new kdrama and will make her debut as an actor. 8. For bp, they were actually supposed to be a 9 member group called “pink punk” and jennie was the leader. Then one by one they left and they ended up as blackpink with no leader. Actually alot of the members who were supposed to debut you probably already know. For example one of them is the Main vocalist of GIDLE now. 9. You asked about the difference between BTS and BP. I wont lie cause Idk much but BTS worked just as hard and faced the same trainee periods and everything. Yes bighit became popular because of BTS but it was still a company with the same laws and requirements as other companies including YG, so anyone who wanted to join had to go through the same thing regardless! 10. Ya’ll truly need to react to more bp content. They’re chaotic and fun and deep and you could learn so much from watching their content. You already watch alot of Lisa obv but you should watch rose song covers like you and I, jisoo’s clarity, Jennie’s rap compilation and also their individual documentaries!! There are also alot more like blackpink 365 and blackpink house! If you watch these two you would learn alot more about their personalities!!

Dina

I think I saw a video of them watching BTS' movie at a movie theater on their YouTube channel before. I think it was BRING THE SOUL maybe.. I don't know if they saw BREAK THE SILENCE. I just want them to watch the Bon Voyage and Documentaries in order. 2016 – Bon Voyage Season 1 2017 - Bon Voyage Season 2 2018 - Burn the Stage, Bon Voyage Season 3 2019 - Bring the Soul, Bon Voyage Season 4 2020 - Break the Silence, BTS in the Soop p.s. Break the soul is a combination of Break the Silence and Bring the Soul, right?🤗 (I got it😘)

Baaamm

Please watch BTS Break the silence movie 🙏🏻

Atsushi Takuya

Please watch BTS documentary, too. Guys!!

Well as far as we know Bighit planned to create a hip hop group similar to epik high or MFBTY but it was kinda vague. They decided to work on a system to recruit trainees only after pdogg and bang pd met namjoon, that means that RM was the first trainee and because of him Bighit started to make auditons and got a dorm for trainees who weren't from Seoul (basically all of the 7 members from BTS). A few days ago, in You Quiz On The Block talk show, RM shared that about 30 trainees came in and out of it. At that time the project was called the Bangtan Crew, I'm guessing that they decided to change direction towards Idoldom after J-hope became a trainee (he was mainly a dancer and not a rapper) probally bringing dance and performance aspects to the group. So the project got re-organized and the group name changed to BTS at the time of the 2nd Hit It auditions and the released of the song Paldogangsan with RM, SUGA and J-hope. So, 2011 had the entrance of Jungkook, V and Jin. The predebut line-up is still confusing, but we know that they're narrowed until the line-up was finalized and the members fixed. Sorry for any mistakes, english isn't my first language.
