2023-12-05 21:34:49 +0000 UTCi know y'all already finished this and probably realized or were informed afterwards. but i wanted to mention for maybe those reading the comments while catching up, that because sang-tae (the older brother) is autistic, and the way he communicates his feelings is different to neurotypicals (people who aren't autistic, adhd, etc.). so basically when he mentioned that their hometown had a good jjampong spot, he also mentioned that that's where their mom would take them, which is kind of his way of saying he wants to go there bc it would be good for them to move there for the memories if that makes sense. i'm autistic myself, and it could be hard to express my feelings in a way neurotypicals would understand. throughout the series, you'll notice sang-tae's actions and the things he says are just different ways of communicating his true emotions but they could be misinterpreted easily. this is why i love this series so much because the autistic representation is so amazing and well written compared to other media that try to include neurodivergency. everything sang-tae does and says has much deeper meaning when you're well informed on autism/neurodivergence in general in my opinion.
