no sane person would INVEST, LEARN and LOOK UP TO THEIR ENEMY’S BUSINESS ETHICS. their pride simply wouldnt let you but thats just goes to show how far you can go if you simply put the mind over power.

I apologize in advance for the long comment, but this is such an interesting and smart show, I have a lot to say. I Promise - no spoilers.
About Soo-ah - I think she likes him. We could see it early on when they were teens and now as well. She likes him, but she's also selfish and a coward, partly because of her childhood. She was raised in an orphanage, abandoned by her parents, so she never had anyone she could count on, never had someone love her unconditionally - there was Sae-ro-yi's dad, but he died suddenly, I guess, making her feel even more that she had only herself to rely on. That's why she accepted the offer to get the scholarship from jjanga, even though she knew it was wrong. She thinks of herself first, because she knows no one else will do it for her. She's a survivor. I do think she's a coward for staying there (she's not staying there bc she has a debt - when he offered her the help he said there's no strings attached), but considering her background I can also understand why she's doing that.
I think one of the show's themes is the consequences of good/bad parenting. Sae ro-yi had an amazing dad who believed and supported him, and he grew up to be a person with ideals and strong convictions who believes in himself. The CEO is an awful dad, and his sons are a reflection of that - one is a murderer and the other chooses to work for his enemy. Same for Yi Seo and Soo Ah. In short - you reap what you sow.

He’s just invested more to make himself seen and become a possible shareholder. There’s people that invested way more than Sae Ro Yi. It was just really shocking for that CEO for someone like Sae Ro Yi could invest in Jangga

He didn't invest when his dad died. He invested when he got out of jail before getting on the ship. It was when Jang Geun Won was arrested for assulting an employee. Also you didn't recognize him but his stock broker was the kid he got expelled for defending.

Also, the love circle is crazy indeed. Geun Soo likes Yi seo, but she likes Park Sae-ro-yi, but he likes Soo Ah, who is liked by Geun Won.
