Nightmare War - Lunar Rainbow (Character Design preview)

I've been iterating and reiterating on this design for like 4 days. I think I'm finally satisfied enough to say this will be the final design.

The one on the left is the result of like 2 days of iteration and just trying out ideas. There were a couple of key features that I wanted, but wasn't sure how to incorporate them. I wanted her main color scheme to be white, to feature a tight suit, a more futuristic design, and I tried to incorporate some elements of Rainbow Dash in there like the blue color and the wings.

The one on the right is the final design, which took a few more days of iterating. You can see many of the same design elements made it through to the final, but better incorporated into the overall design rather than looking like bits of pieces taken from other designs. I really liked the idea for the wings from the originally but ultimately decided to drop it in order to better balance the design.

Just a little look into the process of creating a character for Nightmare War. In between these designs were probably hundreds of iterations and small revisions, but I didn't really save them. Hope you enjoy.

This character will be coming far far later, currently working on the Midnight Sparkle comic, which will be the next arc. Just wanted to get this one out of the way since it was on my mind.
