Mabu is having trouble walking from his stomachache due to overeating earlier. Elica tries to encourage him to continue moving, concerned for his safety.
The arena staff members begin to sprinkle salt around the actinia in an attempt to block off its course. One of the staff members stands apart, directing the salt distribution. Talyxian creatures have an inherent repulsion towards the touch of salt, especially on their mucous membrane areas. Because of this, this is a smart and sound strategy devised to hinder and perhaps even completely halt the oncoming beast.
