2020-10-12 00:33:14 +0000 UTCOk, the 2nd trailer in this video is the one I first saw when I made my initial comment: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aMzJW0XBImE In the above video, there are actually 2 trailers. The first trailer I liked much more than the second trailer. I disliked the 2nd trailer because it is, in my opinion, a bit over the top in their hommage to the classic Hollywood of the age that Citizen Kane was created. It features a lot of dialogue over the scenes presented which give it that 1930s Hollywood trailer feel. My dislike of it is that I feel that its not necessarily an accurate depiction of what I feel (hope) the film is actually going to be like. That trailer makes it feel/look tacky. However, after discovering the other trailer (first one in the link above), I felt it is going to be a more accurate depiction of the actual look/feel of the film. Honestly, the differences between the two trailers are not that great but it's enough for me to like one and dislike the other.

2020-10-09 10:18:49 +0000 UTCYeah, I dunno. I think it looks very interesting. And I enjoy seeing a director who is so distinct in terms of style, do something unexpected, especially later in his career. Good for him. We will see if it pays off.

2020-10-08 20:11:59 +0000 UTCIt's fairly refreshing to see Fincher step out of his stylistic comfort zone. I'm not sure what sort of movie we're getting from the pretty rapid montage of characters but it being Fincher, I feel in good hands.
