The ending is perhaps the greatest ending in the history of television for me. And the show is by far my favorite show.

2021-06-30 01:47:34 +0000 UTCI’ll definitely see the movie, but the trailer doesn’t “feel” like The Sopranos. Like Bennett said, looks like standard mob movie stuff, kid getting caught up in the life, etc.

2021-06-30 01:37:20 +0000 UTCI pretty much agree with everything Bennett said here. It didn't really alleviate my concerns with the casting. I can already tell the makeup with Farmiga is gonna be distracting.

2021-06-30 00:41:30 +0000 UTCI just got really apprehensive about the movie. The real appeal of The Sopranos—what made it better than, say, Boardwalk Empire—was that it was more than a crime drama. It was an examination of modern American life through the consciousness of a man who happened to be a mobster. This movie, at least how the trailer presents it, looks like your standard gangster thriller, with the macho posturing and the shootings and the tough guys threatening other tough guys with nothing of the show’s complexity. Hopefully it’s just the packaging, but I’ve got lowered expectations now.
