Black Christmas 2006 - It isn't a good movie but because the tagline has one of my favorite critic's quotes. "Last Christmas you gave me your heart, this year I want your eyeballs"

2020-11-20 23:16:55 +0000 UTCI just saw it for the first time last Christmas cause it's part of my significant other's holiday tradition in her family and man, it really holds up even if you're coming to it fresh as an adult.

2020-11-18 08:49:52 +0000 UTCTreevenge because... just kidding. I know it's a popular choice but Home Alone. I watched it during almost every Christmas. I enjoy performances by Macaulay Culkin, Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern. It's a nostalgic and funny piece for me. Oh and John Williams score is great. I wish that black & white gangster movie, which Kevin was watching would exist as a feature film.

2020-11-18 02:14:10 +0000 UTCA Christmas Story. It's such a relatable, personal story of someone's childhood memories that is extinct in filmmaking today. Also, screw the media for making it into a marketing product. Whatever you do, don't watch the sequel. You'll feel unclean.

2020-11-18 00:55:18 +0000 UTCNot Christmas per se, but I've been ushering in the New Year for the past few years with "Snowpiercer" - happy New Year at the Yekaterina Bridge, need Curtis to tell me that "we go forward" )))

2020-11-18 00:02:58 +0000 UTCI LOVE 1984’s A Christmas Carol with George C. Scott!! This is a perfect adaptation of the story and the cast is terrific! Scott is my favorite version of Scrooge. It captures the real heart of Christmas! Also has the nice look and vibe of a classic Christmas film. This is my “It’s A Womderful Life” even though Inreally love that film as well but Christmas Carol is the ultimate Christmas story to watch every year.

2020-11-18 00:00:29 +0000 UTCGremlins cause even though it's December and I'm with my family, I still want to watch a horror movie. It's holiday adjacent, relatively family friend but also has those horror elements I so desire. Plus I'm a sucker for great creature work and Gizmo and the rest of the gang are all so well done.

2020-11-17 23:55:27 +0000 UTCIts a wonderful life, I never seen a movie that could play with my emotions quite like this one. I remember I was very young and my friend showed me the film for the first time. My first thought to the first few minutes of the film was "what a boring black and white film..." by the end of it I was overtaken by my emotions as I couldn't contain myself from crying at what could be noted as one of the most beautiful ending in film history.
