Ah sweet. Thanks for the info! :)

I haven't but it has been recommended. I'll look into it. Thanks!

I know nothing either. Very rarely is something new worth seeing today.

Wolfman Brandon

Have you seen Sound of Metal? It came out in 2020 but it's still fresh - available on Prime Video on December 4. I was very moved by that piece.

Oskitello

I'm sure there will be people who will try to boycott it, but dismissing a whole film that's a result of hard work of many people (not to mention a career-best performance from Kirby) will never make sense to me. It's not JUST Shia's film, you know what I mean?

Marianna Neal

I'm curious what kind of attention the movie will get in the wake of Shia's sexual assault allegations.

Tyler Shobe

I just watched that last night. Nuts movie. I'll second the recommendation.

"Pieces of a Woman" coming to Netflix on Jan 7th - saw it at TIFF and it destroyed me, so enjoy )))

Wonder Woman 1984!! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Tony Moro

You gotta check out Possessor my favorite film of last year Iโ€™m pretty sure you can find it online now.

Dan Tedesco

seems like January 11th is the earliest it will be streaming:)

Trudie

Its only in theaters at the moment. Wherever they're still open that is lol

Stephen

Thanks! Is it available for streaming anywhere? I'm having trouble finding it. I stick to VOD/streaming options.

Some Kind of Heaven is an upcoming documentary about the Florida retirement community The Village and some of the weirder and surprising things that happen there. The trailer is beautifully shot and has this very surreal vibe despite being based on real people and a real place. It's produced (but not directed) by Darren Aronofsky. One Night in Miami is finally getting a VOD release. It's Regina King's directorial debut and is the fictional account of a conversation between Cassius Clay, Jim Brown, Sam Cooke and Malcom X. It seems a bit stagey since it is based on a play but I love these sort of bottle, talk-y movies like My Dinner with Andre or the Before trilogy. I'm also vaguely interested in the upcoming thriller The Little Things though I could see it turning out to be mediocre as hell so definitely pretty trepidatious about it and might not give it a look depending on how it's received.

Technically it came out Christmas but I would be interested to hear your thoughts on Promising Young Woman, I had been anticipating seeing it for so long and ended up having pretty mixed feelings. Carey Mulligan and Bo Burnham were really great though!
