"Shining"
Added 2021-02-25 06:47:20 +0000 UTCI tried to get my friend to watch The Shining with me when I was in college. She didn't know anything about it. So I showed her this trailer with a straight face. She thought it looked lame. I assured her it wasn't and to not be deterred by this particular trailer. Then I had her watch the movie, with no added context. XD

I'm just imagining the sort of similar trickery like cutting a trailer for Blue Velvet that makes it look like a teen romance movie or Shortbus into a feel good comedy about people in NYC (which wouldn't necessarily be a lie)
