2021-04-24 13:40:14 +0000 UTCFavorite figure skaters past and current? I used to watch the bigger events, but kinda just fell off of it. I really really loved Samuel Contesti and after retiring Javier Fernandez sort of took his place in my book. Carolina Kostner and Yuna Kim were amazing. Also, do you love or hate Blades of Glory?

2021-04-23 15:11:10 +0000 UTCI have a few ideas. I liked your top five horror movie video. Maybe you could do that with other genres. You could do the same thing with movies from a certain decade or period. I also think it is interesting to look at movies that share themes across genres from the same period, the representation of crime and justice in Easy Rider vs The Wild Bunch, for example (they also both have an interesting take on the Mexican "bandito" character). How about actors portraying roles in non-native languages? We imported Cantinflas, Gerard Depardieu, Dolores del Rio, Klaus Kinski; while American actors, like Richard Gere, worked with Kurosawa.

2021-04-23 12:32:42 +0000 UTCYou could do what David Thomson does and give a review on a particular actor or director and their body of work. Or, in lieu of a Favorite Movies of 2020 topic, you could discuss your frustration with this past year’s films.

2021-04-23 08:01:13 +0000 UTCI like to do what Siskel and Ebert used to do every year which is pick the worst Oscar nomination and I like to add the worst omission of the year just for good measure. For 2019, my worst nomination was Joker for Best Picture and Knives Out in the same category as the worst omission. Unfortunately, I didn't see a single film in 2020 so what is your worst nomination and omission?
