Fill Me In, Yo

Any movies ya'll are looking forward to this May? Hell...just this summer really. Let me know!

Comments

It just came out today, The Mitchells vs The Machines on Netflix. If you like wholesome family movies like The Lego Movie, it's a real good time. Still waiting for those A24 films The Green Knight and Saint Maud to come to theater near me (or be on VOD).

Ryan

Wait a minute! LeBron will be in prison soon, so, there might not be a release of Space Jam 2. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Tony Moro

Nothing. Every time I hear something movie related in the news, it's morons being woke activists instead of artists. Not worth wasting my time.

Wolfman Brandon

Those Who Wish Me Dead. I’m a big fan of Taylor Sheridan’s work. He wrote Sicario and Hell or High Water and directed Wind River. This one stars Angelina Jolie as a smoke jumper who must protect a boy from two assassins during a massive forest fire. Sounds cool, can’t wait to see it.

Bennett Oliver

Space Jam 2 ***sarcasm***

There's nothing worthy coming out. Lol

No Time to Die

Michael Smith

Lot of horror movies: A Quiet Place 2 - May 28 Old (directed by Shyamalan) - July 23 The Green Knight - July 30 Don't Breathe 2 - August 13 Candyman - August 27 Mainly looking forward to The French Dispatch by Wes Anderson but they haven't decided the new release date yet and then Paul Thomas Anderson's new movie Soggy Bottom I guess got pushed back to Christmas but I think it was initially meant for the summer. It'll be especially interesting since apparently it's going to star Phillip Seymour Hoffman's son. Additionally Richard Linklater has a new movie about the 1969 mooning landing coming to Netflix but a release date hasn't been set. October is going to be fun: Dune - October 1 No Time to Die - October 8 The Last Duel (Ridley Scott) - October 15 Last Night in Soho (Edgar Wright) - October 22 Cry Macho (Clint Eastwood) Jackass 4 (apparently this is happening lol)

I always feel like a bit of a poser when I say I like the musical cause I did get into it post-Hamilton and cause of that, have only experienced it by listening. But I do genuinely love the music and the characters from that experience. I hope I can see it done on stage eventually but this movie will have to do until then.

I'm a huge In The Heights fan. I saw it years ago, before Hamilton was ever a thing. I am also quite excited about it!

I'm trying not to be but everything I'm seeing and hearing about In the Heights has me very excited. I've loved the OBC recording since I caught the Hamilton bug back in high school so seeing the musical brought to life with such a vibrancy and vigor in trailers makes me so happy. I'm really hoping it turns out. I also have a love/hate relationship with the Conjuring franchise so I watch every movie that's under that banner, for better or worse. James Wan has a new movie coming out this year that's allegedly inspired by Italian giallo which is a genre I've gotten into this year. I enjoy most of his stuff so I'm curious what he's gonna do with that idea and a new IP.
