Some of the silliest quotes come from the 1994 Street Fighter movie. The film was not faithful but it had it's goofy perks. The best line is Quick Change The Channel! Deejay turns and looks at Zangief like dude WTF? So from childhood till now that is the funniest most random quotable that a dumb adaptation version from a game can possibly produce 🤣!!!

2024-10-10 01:24:14 +0000 UTC"I never felt like you were dead. I could always feel you walking around and talking someplace." - Hunter to Travis in Paris, Texas by Wim Wenders. The film follows Travis trying to rebuild his distant relationship with his child who he hasn't seen in years, only to be told that the love between them is already there and that their bond as father and son is unbreakable. It marks what I think is one of the most sincere moments between family members in film.

2021-06-13 20:01:33 +0000 UTC“ I say get liquored up and take them to the Peach Tree Dance” -Daniel from There Will Be Blood. That sequence was amazing. You see Daniel’s disappointment, suspicions, and the ocean wave symbolizing his rage. *chef’s kiss* In my high school days I always use to quote The Joker from The Dark Knight. “Why so serious” ah memories.

2021-06-11 18:18:00 +0000 UTC"You are a whore, darlin', we all are. We take the cash, we cash the cheque, we show 'em what they wanna see" - I am not kidding when I say I love this quote from Showgirls because aren't we all always performing to survive or to get ahead in life? Isn't all labor in essence prostitution, or what is the difference? On top of that, it is funny as hell.

2021-06-11 17:55:52 +0000 UTCIn my opinion, no line has ever left a bigger impact and really brought me to tears as hard as anything as when in It's A Wonderful Life Harry Bailey comes into George's home at the end of the film and says "To my big brother George, the richest man in town." The look on George's face and the singing that follows, pulls on my heartstrings so much and gives me the truest sense of hope that no matter what knocks you down, you always have a fighting chance as long as you don't give up and keep believing that you can turn things around by having faith and believing in yourself to find the solutions that do exist if you look hard enough and step back to observe the problem at hand. There's always a way to fix it.

2021-06-10 10:03:55 +0000 UTC“Really? Worst film you ever saw? Well, my next one will be better.” — Johnny Depp in Ed Wood I find myself saying, “well, my next one will be better.” in that same chipper voice every time I get notes back on a script.

2021-06-10 03:54:03 +0000 UTC"They worship everything but value nothing." A great line from La La Land when Sebastian is talking to Mia about the people in Los Angeles. I can tell you it's not just L.A. people that have this problem. Sums up why American society as a whole is such a mess today.

2021-06-10 01:53:07 +0000 UTC"Rosebud..." Lol ok no but another line from Citizen Kane that has always stuck with me is: "Well, it's no trick to make a lot of money... if all you want is to make a lot of money." It's a perfect line that encapsulates Kane's mindset in the film as he turns more greedy and self-destructive as the movie goes along, neglecting his friends and family. Additionally, it's just simply an excellent description of the single-mindedness it's takes to become wealthy in general.

2021-06-10 01:49:47 +0000 UTC"In this world, you must be oh so smart or oh so pleasant. Well, for years I was smart. I recommend pleasant. You may quote me." -- from Harvey (1950) This is a favorite because it rings so true, and yet remains aspirational for me. I usually find myself relying on trying to be smart, and this quote reminds me how much better things are, for myself and others, when I try to be pleasant instead. Life goals! :)

2021-06-09 22:17:38 +0000 UTC“Watch me run a 50-yard dash with my legs cut off.”—Sidney Falco (Tony Curtis) in Sweet Smell of Success There are far more memorable quotes in the movie than that one, but this is the most personal one to me. It pops into my head whenever I get asked to accomplish an impossible task in a short amount of time (i.e. a high-stress situation). It pretty much nails my feelings on what I’m being asked to do.

2021-06-09 20:30:30 +0000 UTC"Leave the gun. Take the cannoli." Do I really need to explain? Hilarious inspite of the horrific violence that precedes it. It encapsulates what I really love about gangster movies: charm in light of brutality.

2021-06-09 20:30:15 +0000 UTCIn light of what's been going on, my favorite quote that I've been using a ton, is from Bane in Dark Knight Rises. I really liked his monologues, but, the quote that has stuck with me is "Theatricality and deception. Powerful agents to the uninitiated."

2021-06-09 20:25:16 +0000 UTC“The only way to be happy is to love. Unless you love, your life will flash by.” From Tree of Life of course and all I can say about that beautiful quote from that beautiful film is that I catch myself reminding myself of that quote and telling myself that second sentence specifically constantly. Beyond true and beyond important.

2021-06-09 20:23:21 +0000 UTCKing of Comedy “Rather be King for a night than Shmuck for a lifetime” It sums up the character of Rupert Pumpikn perfectly while simultaneously making a comment on our world validation, it’s a line that’s incredibly simple, but ages like fine wine in how true it rings about so many people’s mentality and how they thirst for fame and clout.
