2021-10-01 15:09:04 +0000 UTCI was a little surprised at Norm's stoic nihilism, but I guess that the cliché that great comedy comes from great pain kind of played out in his life. Actually, this interview reminded me of the mindset that you can see in a movie from about 2000 called Wisconsin Death Trip. I don't think that anybody really enjoys this movie, but it is compelling and evokes the darkness that seems to have been such a large part of his life. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Du03N2MciHo&t=41s

2021-09-28 01:48:24 +0000 UTCThat was fascinating, but I would’ve rather have had interviewers who engaged with him on his views and ideas as opposed to these two numbnuts who did nothing but argue with him, scoff at what he had to say, and label him as depressed. What they don’t get is that Norm lived a life of the mind, and that made him happy.
