Upcoming Project ( will keep you posted)
Added 2021-12-22 05:28:01 +0000 UTCI will be lucky enough to conduct a zoom interview with the man who played H.W. Plainview in There Will Be Blood very soon. We've been in contact for several years, and finally my hopes of getting to delve into the film, are finally coming true! I plan on adding it to Youtube eventually. I've never done anything like that, but I hope it goes smoothly. I haven't decided exactly how I plan on approaching it here. But I hope to keep the patrons up to date on it. If you guys have any suggestions or thoughts to share, I'm open.

Steve does an amazing job talking to people.

2021-12-22 10:15:07 +0000 UTCDamn that's awesome Maggie! I guess I would be curious about how he felt being randomly cast for a movie at such a young age out of nowhere? Also did he enjoy the experience of making the movie? Was there anything that happened that discouraged him from continuing to act or did he just simply realize it wasn't something for him long term?

2021-12-22 07:27:25 +0000 UTCCongrats! Of course I’d love to hear about his experience working with DDL, but I’m more curious about PTA’s process in making this film. I’ve heard actors describe his sets as being “wonderfully chaotic” and like a circus (or rather, I’ve heard the set of Inherent Vice be described this way). Obviously, set pieces like the derrick explosion had to be carefully planned, but I wonder how loose Anderson kept the set in terms of dialogue or mapping out a scene. Did they figure it out as they went along? Were things written the day before? I’d be interested to know what this guy’s experience was. Also, what were his conversations with Anderson like? Did they discuss the meaning of the film? He was only a kid when they shot it, but you never know. Deep conversations might have been had.

2021-12-22 07:10:44 +0000 UTCGood for you! Actually speaking to a major contributor to one of your favorite films. I wish I could speak to Damien Chazelle and tell him how much La La Land helped me after my grandparents died. Other than that, Saoirse Ronan is the only one that's alive I'd love to speak to. Every one else I wish I could meet are dead because they're from the Golden Era of Hollywood.
