Sherlock is the obvious next show, and as there's only about 5 episodes, and there's a lot to talk about for each episode.

I'd vote Sherlock and Torchwood. Cause Sherlock would be interesting, and Torchwood would be hilarious, because Dan would have to rewatch episodes.

Please do an episode about Red Dwarf! I love Capaldi and think he could've been a fantastic Doctor if the writing wasn't absolute arse! To me, Big Finish's Doctor Who is currently far superior to the BBC's stuff, and I can't wait for them to get their hands on Capaldi and turn him in to a great Doctor. Just like they did with 6th (who went from worst to best in my eyes.) OH! I have been enjoying this and Part 2 on walks I've started doing in the evenings now its light and warm out. Of course I don't agree with all your judgements of the episodes but that's OK! I can appreciate the points you make. There have been points I wanted to address too re: some of the episodes and story arks but I cant remember so never mind eh. I would like to hear you do the same for other series you've watched/read but I know this sort of thing is time consuming. Also, do we get any patreon exclusives of your writing??

I LOVE this, and would love any other excuse to hear you talk about one of your interests for a combined four hours.

Worth the cost of entry. I share most of your feelings towards Capaldi's Doctor; he's felt wrong for his entire run and it's always been hard to really put my finger on why. I've scarcely missed an episode of Who since Eccleston, but now can't muster the energy to watch even on catch-up.

If you ever see Marvel's Agents of SHIELD, I'd love to hear your thoughts on its progression. It's one of the few shows that gets better and better with age. But the obvious choices are Community, Sherlock, Star Trek: The Original Series, and Star Trek: The Next Generation. It's good to hear someone else shares my dislike of Torchwood and Clara. I started watching the show when the 3rd Doctor was running around a disused quarry (nothing has changed there), and to be honest Peter Capaldi's Doctor has as much appeal as Colin Baker. I agree with Dan, I'll wait until the new Doctor arrives, my vote would be for Warwick Davis.

Season 8 Doctor, at least in my defensive head cannon, has a simple (lol) explanation. A time lords regeneration isn't random, it's slightly based one there current surroundings. When 11th received the regeneration juice, he received it from a group of time lords in the middle of a war, so ever emotion that 12th felt was through the filter of war. "Am I a good guy?" "Is it worth it?" "It's for the greater good" and "We've been doing this so long I don't care anymore". It's after series 8 that he starts to get a grip on it, with a few pop up here and there.

I lost interest in Who when Clara joined so a lot of what you talked about was new to me. I spent most of he podcast thinking 'this sounds AWFUL but maybe he's exaggerating' To test this, I went on IPlayer and found the bit in this series with the ice and the screwdriver and the little boy and BLOODY HELL. I now completely believe you when you say he's a cunt. Thank you for this podcast Dan, now I don't feel so guilty for giving up on a show I adored. P.S I don't mind Fear Her and I quite liked the Titanic Christmas special. Sorry

For the series with less numerous episodes, a run down is nice, but it would be great to hear you really dig into what makes, say, Black Books or Rick and Morty or Firefly so fucking exceptional, especially with the level of sophistication (and swearing) you bring to your analysis :)
