Mario - In Pictures

This past week I've had the pleasure of spending a lot of time with international celebrity and moustache fancier, Mario. His new game "Mario Odyssey" has just released to worldwide acclaim and he hired me to capture a regular week of his life through my pictures. 

Here then, is a thick slice of Mario. Enjoy.

The week starts as any other. Mario scooters to work in his suit, ready for a day of filming his adventures.

Theodore Rex, the typecast co-star, and Mario lounge about in between takes. 

Director Rabbit Rabbiton (OBE) and Mario discuss the logistics of a scene set on the Moon. In this scene Mario will be knocked unconscious by the ball Wallace kicked back in "A Grand Day Out", the 1990 stop motion classic.

Ever the prankster on set, Mario here seen ruining a $45 Million scene.

This scene, where Mario in stone age costume attempts to hail a Taxi from a bush, was entirely ad libbed. I've been informed it won't make the final cut.

An action shot of Mario at his best. Seventeen people are employed to remove sand grains from his iconic moustache. 

A prank receives a negative response here. After escaping from his stomach, Mario apologised profusely to Theodore. 

Contrary to popular beliefs, Mario has never actually been seen doing any plumbing in any of his work. He just likes to hang around pipes.

Mario once again naps in front of the set of the Odyssey. Some of the production staff think he might have a disorder.

The final shot of the week. Mario performing the great big song-and-dance finale, "Let me moon you." Rumours that this song is a deflection of past issues circulate around the cast.

The final shot was taken about 3 hours after Mario had thought I'd left his Sky-Mansion. He once again napped, mumbling gently to himself about "taking a bite from a juicy peach." 

What an honour this week has been, and what an insight into a great, great man.
