"No, he's too old" should be your twitter bio.

I was just looking for something to listen to whilst playing factorio. I love it so much it's becoming an issue.

Ben Chilcott

Bit late to this but as someone who has been on antidepressants for several years I can relate quite a bit. Here’s what I’ve discovered. That desire for neutral feelings isn’t what it seems. What you really want is a feeling of content, of satisfaction, that is the base line feeling that is easy and good. The meds mute the bad feeling but they also mute the good. From experience, my advice is talk to people and learn how to understand yourself and what you feel. Once you learn how different feelings feel and their effect on you you’ll learn to recognise them, and you’ll likely realise that you’re feeling more than you think. But hey, I’m just a dude. This has helped me, maybe it’ll be of some use for you.

I'm playing Factorio while listening to this, all because of your video in 2015. Closing in on 2000 hours. For that alone, thank you

I'm so excited, definitely getting the dog bookmark!!

Red dead redemption 2 better not have micro transactions otherwise someone will have to become the cynical Brit. When you were talking about the tweet I was thinking of the time you were going to get TB as part of your fake I’m leaving on Halloween and he recorded that whole thing in a hotel room but the audio corrupted and you didn’t want to ask again so you got ashens. TB was such a great person for his personality he could show but also his passion and leadership which can be seen in board games and co-op podcast and videos. He was took to soon but we shouldn’t remember his death but his life and the best he gave us.❤️ RIP 🎩

Valthexus

i wanna see you play what remains of Edith Finch

Yet another excellent podcast! Dan, I am delighted that you have decided to release an audiobook. I am registered blind and although I do have some sight left, I also suffer from a condition called Nystagmus which means my eyes move involuntarily - it makes it very difficult to focus on written text. To be honest I probably would've bought your physical book anyway as I'm a big fan but this will make it so much easier for me to access, so thank you! I've always really been into silly TV game shows, so I wondered which one's you'd like to appear on? I love the idea of being on Supermarket Sweep, Tipping Point or Hole In The Wall! #RIPDaleWinton

Big highs and big lows are pretty much all I've had and I must say there is definitely something to be said for the bits in between. I now work very hard to maintain a nice middle ground. My condolances Dan, good job keeping positivity as a primary action, that is an admirable and tricky thing.

Chloe McNamara-Bates

I met TotalBiscuit at Coxcon, and I was just looking over the coxcon tag I had him sign. And it brought me a little joy to notice that he had added a little cap on top of his "T" in his signature. It was such a small, but lovely thing.

Robert Pearson

I was friends with TB back in 2011/2012 as I managed a Starcraft 2 team that played against his. I've had TB on Skype ever since then. As i've done pretty well in my career within esports i've wanted to message him for a while and tell him that I 'made it' and that he was a huge influence in my early days, seeing a fellow Brit succeed in esports kept me going at times where I was working 12 hour days for no pay. I'd written out a message to him on Skype mid last week. I never hit send. I was worried it sounded lame and i'd come across sounding silly. I doubted myself and decided to try write something better later. It's too late now. Never doubt yourself. Never worry that what you have to say isn't important or that you are stupid for voicing how you feel. I will regret not getting my chance to tell TB that he helped me succeed in life just by leading the way first. Tell people how you feel, because before you know it, it might be too late.

Reece Fowler

I'm behind on podcasts, but the blue m&m thing was more than what you said. If the venue messed up on the candy, then it meant that the band could have their own people set up all of the equipment or whatever, which they prefered.

Domenic

I got into wrestling because of a friend who is trying to break into wrestling photography but you, TB, and Jim Sterling definitely opened up my mind to it and now I am going back through your 2k15 completes series now that i can actually understand more than just each match individually.

Eli Brand

Dan what’s your opinion on Ireland repealing the 8th amendment of our constitution the part of our constitution that our lawyer abortion

Nathan Connolly

im so sorry for you dan

Dan, I'm 14 and I make around $55 from summer jobs per week. Should I save up for a Switch without buying anything else, buy God of War now and be set back a week for the Switch, or exchange all the money for one dollar bills and sleep on them, and just ignore GoW and the Switch?

Isaac Rodriguez

Since you started doing re-runs on twitch, I thought it'd be funny if you selected one old video and tried to recreate it live on twitch, but masked it as a "re-run" with the purple re-run overlay, and see how long it took people to figure out. Maybe occasionally read a comment out from the chat to spook people.

George Farren

I generally actively go to your channel, then have to click on the "videos" tab, to see your latest video. Not on my homepage, not on your channel page; and you're probably my most-watched YouTuber...

iamlikemex

hey dan, did you know that you can edit the files for LUFTRAUSERS so that the weapons are stupidly powerful?, i would recommend messing about with it because it is good fun

Chewing_Soup

i love your stream :D

Dan, I loved the rerun stream the other day, I feel as though a 24/7 stream would be interesting if there was also a voting system

Chewing_Soup

The best piece of advice I was ever given after my first breakup was enjoy that feeling sounds stupid right enjoy that feeling of loss, of sadness and of heatbreak but it was explained to me now you understand all those sad songs, all those emotional films, all those books that made you feeling something different every single sad emotion every single heartbreak is worth it because everyone has felt it and those that can express it

Grief is a strange thing. I'm extremely lucky in that I've "only" lost my two grandmas, and a couple of family friends, and recently an aunt (who I wasn't close to). Of course, I know people who've lost great friends, parents and I know people who've lost children. None of them go through it in the same way. I hope you find a way to live with the grief (no one really "gets over it" if it's a person close to you). You make a lot of people very happy, and not a lot of people can say that.

Mr. H.

My condolences. I really hope you and everyone else affected get through this okay and I send my love. Just please, please, don't box yourself off from this. You strike me as someone who tends to be able to ignore feeling bad, but with death, trust me, it doesn't help. Grieving is important. Best wishes <3

Stan Gaskell

That "NerdCubed 24/7" thing sounds really cool and could kick off something big with Twitch

Narmatonia

so even though your frostpunk video has 154k (currently) views, your frostpunk stream is closer to the top of the results when you search or frostpunk, and it has 36k views.

Jack Graham

Been through this myself, it gets better mate. It may take a while but believe me it get better. Gotta give yourself some time to greave.

jamie barber

I'm not to good with words but know that you have my sincerest condolences, chin up.

Finn McCool

All I can offer is hope. It does lessen. No go away, be lessen. Be well. The good will still come. You'll be back to normal soon (or as normal as your normal). Anyway. That was emotional. I hate it. So...like...farts?

Westley Wilson

Regarding international shipping through unbound, is there no way to let the consumers pay for it themselves? I know I'd be happy to do so. Also, in a similar vein to Alex Mace's question, are there still plans for a platform where we can still access if not obtain your videos regardless of how youtube's algorithim feels about it.

Best wishes Dan. It might get harder before it gets easier but it will get easier with time. You feel the loss less and less and remembering the good times becomes a larger and larger percentage of it.

Patrick Jackson

I'm really sorry Dan, my deepest condolences to you and Rebecca

Marco te Kortschot

QUESTION: After watching the stream today of old videos, where do you think your obsession with tugging things came from? (Serious question though: is there any update on how the website upgrade is going?)

Captain_Cone

Dan, I don't post on here very often, but I am so sorry to hear about totalbiscuit, I didn't watch his stuff but I know you spoke very highly of him, my condolences are with you...

Connor Gibson

I didn't watch much of his stuff, I mostly just knew him from when you were on the podcast but even from that and what you've said he seemed like such a wonderful person. And that's mostly why I'm so bummed about this, because the world has lost such an outspoken, well meaning, fantastic human being when he was far far too young. It is such a great shame and he'll never be replaced.

Mike Jones

"I can't tell you the way I feel, because the way I feel is also new to me." -Oasis, Columbia. Rest in peace TB

Kloovt

Thank you Dan. TB was the first gaming youtuber I subscribed to, and directly or indirectly led me to every one of my other subscriptions, including Nerdcubed. I religiously watched his content, and even just as a fan have been heavily invested in his health over the last couple of years. I've shed more than a couple of tears in the past day, and there are probably more to come. Thank you for putting this out, thank you for sharing, it helps.

Truly amazing podcast - being able to see the true man behind nerdcubed is great. Smart idea calling the podcast something else, others just won't understand that you don't want to share your feelings with the world and that's 100% okay

Siana Brooker

I'm going to mention something positive from this podcast, Dan please make a tortilla lasagna poster! I've been wanting your recipe since you first mentioned it

Hunter Schiller

I feel your pain, my best friend died 3 months ago of CF and i still have days when i hope its some elaborate sick joke. he was only 18 and a better person than anyone else i know. Still hurts more than i can explain. the only thing i can say is i hope things feel slightly better tomorrow/

Jack Davies

I'm so sorry you lost a friend. Cancer sucks beyond belief. From experience, I can say that all the "think about the good memories" advice sounds trite, but it really does help. That restaurant story is a lovely memory. I'm glad you feel you can ramble to us about things. So hang on. Try to get some sleep. Snuggle with Rebecca and the dogs. Nothing is perfect (yeah, not even Twitch), but we're not going anywhere.

Diane Frank

You know, if you're sufficiently a nobody on YouTube, searching for your channel name doesn't bring you up in search. But if a bigger channel made a video about you, that will come up. True story

Jennifer J Waldorf

Best ❤

Jennifer J Waldorf

You've helped so many of us in dark times, I hope you see this as us trying our best to do the same. Sending love.

Thank you for sharing this Dan. I never really involved myself with TB much but anyone could tell he was a nice guy. It sucks. It really does. All the best.

Joshua Aarons

I fully agree with the sentiment of making something good out of loss. My friend died 2 years back and that's when I started making videos. I'm not trying to grow a channel. No one watches them. But I'm proud of these little things that I've made. And it started in memory

Captain_Cone

Give yourself time and space to grieve, Dan. Your feelings are valid and you will need food, love, and time to get better. You were an amazing friend to TB and brought joy to his life. Lean on your family and feel things man... thank you for you.

Between taking incredible highs/lows and taking neutral average times.... I'm currently living in the neutral average times and it's hell. It feels like I'm not going anywhere, that I'm stuck in place. I'd rather try and find the highs and take the lows with them, but I don't know how to find the highs... TB's passing gave me a low, certainly, though...

Tustin2121

Thanks for sharing this Dan, there really aren't words.

I'm really sorry to hear about TB, to a lot of people he was a youtuber/reviewer but to you and others he was a friend. I lost my grandma to cancer at the start of the year and it is hard but trust me when I say it will get better. Just hang in there dan.

Zion Aitken

I had a good cry today over John, he's been a huge influence in my life, and i never even met the man. I'm just so glad he knew people like you, who seemed to love him as much as i did. Props to you for being a friend to him, and extra special props to Genna for being so wonderful.

Rice Box

I’m sorry dan.

Scott

I think everyone will miss Total Biscuit. He was such an influential person, it's difficult not to be affected by his passing. However, none of us actually knew him like you did Dan, so I wish you all the best on coping with this loss of a dear friend. Keep moving forward.

Matt Eden

Yeah, saw the news about TB. I didn't realize he was so young.
