Came across the GTA:TT-TDE trailer in the wild and decided to watch instead of reflexively skip like I usually do with adverts. I can see how from watching the trailer without stopping to see what the models are really like or anything much else, it would do a good job of making you think this was an improvement over the originals. Everything's a lot brighter and more colourful, the lighting and reflections seems better and all the sharp corners of the original models have been rounded off. It's easy to miss the transformation into sweet old grandpa Salvatore and that maybe some of the original feel of the games may have been lost. Whether or not these changes will mean the games don't feel the same to play, I have no idea, but it still feels dumb that you can't buy the original versions anymore, though perhaps R* enjoyed the sudden influx of sales for those versions after the announcement. I didn't bother and now I mildly regret it, though I'm sure I can find some way to get them if I really want to.
