list sling to this on a train, And you were talking about Rebeca over reacting to coming around a corner. It Killed me, I just couldn’t stop laughing and I was being stared at the whole time.

Hey Dan, new patron here. I had a TV show suggestion that I enjoy very much and I thought you would too. It's called impractical jokers and it's 4 comedians setting up "challenges" and weird stuff to do in public for each other.

Just watched the news video today and was wondering if you will ever do something multiplayer related with dark souls (3). I'd love to see that happen as a long time Dark Souls and Nerdcubed fan. Although I'm afraid that more people are playing Dark Souls on console than on PC and I'd be left out

As someone named Reece, these podcasts are weird to watch. Stop calling me a dickhead!

I think that's something I've noticed in our house with cutting out meat. A year ago both my partner and my mum said they could never go full vegetarian, and granted we're not there yet, but I've gone from cooking 6 meat dishes a week, to now our dinner being more meat-free than not, and they're both actively wanting less meat meals! I could totally see a gradual phasing out of meat in the next 100 years.

While I think you're right about eating animals eventually being taboo (lab grown meat ftw) the ecological implications are immense. We would essentially be removing humans, the global apex predator, from the food chain altogether. The reason hunting exists in the modern era is to regulate populations in parts of the world where humans have been the apex predator for so long that no major predators exist. Cows, deer, and raccoons, face very few natural predators in the US (excluding coyotes, which are also a hunter-controlled species) and eat foliage to a degree that their overpopulation could threaten the food supply. For now, hunters are an ecological necessary evil until we can restructure the food chain with alternative food sources and find nonviolent means of controlling native populations. Besides, most hunters I know (myself included) use the game meat as a substitute for store-bought meats which tend to come from less humane and more environmentally harmful sources. A single deer can feed two people for a month. I wasn't bothered at all by your video and found it quite funny. I just grew up in Appalachia where hunting was a primary food source for my family up until ~20 years ago. Even now, the venison in the freezer takes some pressure off the wallet between paychecks in a poorer part of the country.

i physically winced when dan mentioned the (just)in time tie in game

I wouldn't use the yearly plan to add my input

pkmn6620 .

Halo Infinite seems like it could revive the franchise for Halo Fans as they have taken more influence from the older games, but new players are not gonna be interested. Also MCC on PC has Halo back alive for now, but that could also cripple Infinite. Also its a shame the Series X might be doomed because it seems like the superior console hardware wise and is more consumer friendly as most xbox one games work on it, but that just doesnt matter because you need exclusives to make people want to buy the console

With you guys talking about water coolers, and filtering water... good god, am I blessed for living in the Netherlands where tap water is LITERALLY cleaner than bottled water, as it's held to a higher standard here. I say literally... I think I remember reading that somewhere, but now that I've written it down I'm starting to doubt myself. Regardless, I am so happy I don't have to muck about with filters or bottled water. Just open a tap and you're hydrated.

Bjorn van Rijszen

Some people are vegetarian because they don't like the conditions the animals are in. So hunting is actually preferable. And depending on the animal which are imported and are not native to the land, it definitely is more ethical to kill than to completely ruin the local biodiversity

Mark Fletch

Grass is technically alive (biologically) it's just not sentient, it doesn't have a nervouse system, it doesn't have any hormones that can interact with that nervouse system or create a relevant responce to fear, the only hormones it has are for its tropisms

Nerd13

also, maybe its not cool of you as a cis white man who lives in the country responsible for most of the world's oppression of indigenous people to say that they shouldn't practice their culture because it involves the killing of animals.

Jaxom

Its too bad she's a cop who has sent (or tried to send, can't remember) other black women to jail over their children not going to school. And denied trans people in jail what they needed to transition. And in general participated in building the huge US prison population. And a bunch of other horrible stuff.

Jaxom

Facebook is also deleting anarchist and antifascist pages and groups, so yeah, literally denying free speech.

Jaxom

I don't think eating meat isn't going to go away, but animal farming is probably going to disappear. Cultivating meat in lab environments hopefully the way to go because meat is quite important to human metabolism, we're omnivores and that's how we're built. Ofc there's alternatives that *can* work because humans understand their own nutrition but not all the time and not for everyone, so hopefully painless and ethical cultivation of meat will be the next "farming".

I thought the point of an annual subscription is so you don't lose so much of our money to processing fees

YourJelly

loving the podcast as always, but not interested in a discount, for those who offer traditional rewards I can see why it would be appealing but we support you because we want to, so discount isnt needed

Daniel Bennett

I don’t think eating meat will die out soon, maybe in hundreds of years or if one event really shakes things up but as long as animals are there and meat tastes good people will still be eating meat

Dan, baby, the US is going to shit because stupid people are easier to manipulate. I went through the US public school system. Its designed to keep people oppressed. I know its dark, but I hope biden wins, just to die from Covid so we get a black female in office.

Patrick Biggs

Never apologize for longer podcasts, the longer the better! Also, I wouldn't mind paying a year's worth of £1 a month, but it would be weird if you got less money because of it

Will ''The Button King'' Harding

I love hearing Dan talk about the future

AtticSalt

I dont mind having to pay every month. People on patreon support you because we believe that you're worth the money. If you did that yearly subscription instead, I would still do the per month because I believe it is worth the little extra money in order to keep you and the company in a comfortable place.

Mr_Ozzy71

I've always thought of Patreon as a place to support creators, and possibly get some nice little bonuses in return. I pay money here because I like what you do, and want to do a little bit to support you doing that. Getting a discount on supporting you just seems counterproductive to me. If I wanted to give you less money... I'd just give you less money.

Honestly, I really enjoy the longer Podcasts. It's brilliant to just listen to. Also, what make is your cooler, I'm definitely thinking of getting one to help me and the missus keep up with our water intake.

Simon Robinson

More than happy to pay yearly but would rather there wasn't a discount tbf. You deserve to make a comfortable living from all your efforts. Or I dunno, write more books?

You should take a look at Paper Beasts. It’s a beautiful VR game with a great story. Not especially long but we’ll worth it

Charles Rowe

Sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy Train Sim World 2, I’ve really been enjoying it, and am looking forward to your video on it. Interested to hear what you didn’t like about it.

Thomas N Wyndham

I’m an A-Level student who’s had to deal with this shite about results and it’s been so stressful for my friends. Some of us were lucky to get in anyways (Newcastle here I come) but we’re in quite a worse off area so when it changed to the mock grades our grades increased so much. Genuinely a massive shit show at every point.

Nathan Miller

I think I would like the “pay-a-year-in-advance” - mostly because some months I fall short (student budget) and have to skip a month. However, I only donate $1 a month so I would be happy to pay $12 without a discount.

zeddubbsy

Kinda feel Dan fell for an obvious troll comment

Sam Mortimer

Hi, any idea what brand of water filter you have. It seems perfect for someone trying to drink more water (me). Thanks

Binxx

I relate to Lucas so much, I am also a ball of anxiety that needs hugs
