The Nerd³ Lego Bootsale

Oh yeah, I was going to sell off some old Lego sets wasn’t I?

Okay, so to make this fair, here’s what we’re going to do. This post here is the announcement post, where I’ll be detailing all the sets. On Mon 22nd, at 5pm UK time, I’ll put up a second post where people can buy these. If you’re the first comment on that post about a set you want, it’s yours to buy. Matt or I will contact you via Patreon DMs, and we’ll sort out the logistics etc. (I’m happy to sign boxes and things like that if you really hate things retaining value lol)

One thing that won’t be included here are shipping prices, as they’ll vary from case to case. If you’re wanting the 81000 Koi and you’re in the UK, it’s not going to be more than a few quid. If you’re trying to get me to ship 70840 Welcome to Apocalypseburg to Australia… that’s going to be touching £100 or so. Instead of adding a flat increase to all the prices, I figured it would be best to sort this out later in the DMs. Hope that’s okay with y’all!

However, a chunk of shipping costs should be outweighed by my pricing. I aim to undercut the cost of buying these set as new because I’m a bad capitalist, and I’d like to know they’re going to good homes.

All the sets are new and sealed, with any dings or damage mentioned in the post and seen in the attachments at the bottom of this post. With that all sorted, let’s take a look at what I’m selling!

10214: Tower Bridge - £220

While the set is new and unopened, the Sellotape holding one side of the box has given up the ghost, presumably as it’s been holding the set closed for over a decade. Also, the box is a bit battered, but go easy on it. It’s literally a teenager.

21306: The Beatles Yellow Submarine - £110

A set that, for some reasons, I’ve been gifted multiple times in my life. Perfect condition and will obviously rocket in price after the Doctor Who Beatles episodes airs, finally taking these four lads to the mainstream.

81000: Koi - £100

I bet this one goes fast. This is the first and only set in the Forma series, which for some reason was entirely funded on Indiegogo, making it a collectors oddity. Fly well to your new home little fishy friend!

10253: Big Ben - £280

Ah, Big Ben, home of a bunch of twats and a bell. Luckily, the building is very nice, absolutely smothered in little men as decorative pieces and, because this is Lego, you can get your Guy Fawkes on time and time again.

70840: Welcome to Apocalypseburg - £500

The biggest set I’m selling, featuring a Fallout style settlement wrapped around the remains of that one lady from all the postcards in NYC. I love it, but have no room for it. The plight of the Lego collector.

71042: Silent Mary - £280

Slight rip on this one, next to the pop-in handle holes, and a strip of Sellotape that’s given up, but fine condition beyond that. Let’s be honest, you want this set for the cool sharks, right?

10236: Ewok Village - £400

Ah, one for the Star Wars fans. A decade old set, featuring everyone’s least favourite Star Wars aliens until Jar Jar came along. Apparently this set has 5 unique minifigures, but they might all be Ewoks, therefore valueless.

That’s your lot! If you have any questions, pop them below in the old comments, and I’ll see you on Mon 22nd at 5pm UK time for the free-for-all!

Daniel

I love this community. I checked the other post and instead of everyone arguing with each other and bitching about how they should get the set for x reason - everyone is just saying "can I get this one please if others drop out" ,ECT. I love that we all respect each other x

They’re all amazing, I can’t afford any of them but I’m happy for everyone that’s gonna be able to snatch em :)
