2025-06-05 22:45:47 +0000 UTCI've literally been through this with a debt collector. I am in the US and moved states. My negotiating company I was working with doesn't do work in my new state. So I can't keep making payments. Can't help me transfer the setup I had to a new company that does operate here and basically they just cut me off. I basically ended up paying a lot of interest to the first company and not much of the debt. Then just had to wait until the new collector contacted me. Basically still owed my full debt and all the payments I made were just gone. I have been able to work with the new company and they have been good. But the previous one I can safely say they can go f themselves
