Dan has long held his opinion on sponsors. We all know he really doesn't care about making money beyond what he needs, and I think he got very jaded by the period of YouTube where many were massively selling out and doing sponsorship deals for things which were a bit dodgy. But I think it is a shame that Dan didn't do sponsors as, especially on YouTube, it's very possible to do niche sponsorship deals with products and organisations that you already support, then it's just a win win all round. Gav from Slow Mo Guys has been sponsored by the makers of bits of kit he uses. But hey ho.

Matt is an incredible and accomplished guy and I somewhat know what he's feels, it's a sad situation all round. I had an incredibly close relationship with my former boss and after a hard December of us trying to turn things around, I was let go in April, only told about it in March. He admitted that he should've gotten rid of me months ago and felt awful firing a protoge and, essentially, a friend. It was rocky for a bit. I won't lie even though I could understand his feelings and obviously knew the financial situation, the swiftness of the firing felt like a betrayal and my relative financial insecurity whilst he kept working there hurt, and dear god it was stressful, but now we're very much still friends and he means the world to me and I him. I do hope you and Matt can and do work through it and stay in touch, but obviously that's all behind the scenes and for you both to sort out 💚 Nevertheless, I've followed his twitch and look forward to following his new chapter and continuing to support you and Rebecca. With love - a long time lurking viewer and patron who never comments xD

I always thought Matt would leave the company in a body bag, having died of some horrific accident only he could’ve had happen to. It’s a shame but times change and so must N3, Matthew’s hour is over now the clock is striking, well it’s striking the pain receptors of those who now have to do his work quite frankly. Best of luck in his future pursuits, no doubt he’s picked up a hefty enough resume by now to get a job anywhere that’s hiring with all he’s done over the years.
