My concern is that I changed it before June 1st and was billed but it's stated as billed for May.

Font Lord here. There's something weird about Patreon and 'stickys', we've looked into it and it can't be done in a good way :( I forget the exact reason American said. Still, going forwards, I think I need to be clearer to say the exact names of tiers and also include USD when talking about money.

Surprisingly, when I went to drop back down to my usual $15 tier after the $35 payment had cleared, it was gone. Instead, I had to default to the lowly $10 tier. It's quite a jump from $10 to $35 and I hope I'm not missing anything I had before, but it doesn't seem I am

While I think American and crew are pretty clear about when your pledge has to be set to $XX to get XX item, there's no consistency across the platform, so it could make things confusing for those who are used to how another creator does things. This project charges at the beginning of the month for the month you're going into, other creators charge the first of the month for the month prior. One creator I was following was so confusing/inconsistent, I just had to walk away after a few months. " They say in their posts (which aren't clear to begin with) that you have to be at whatever tier before the first of the month to get that month's reward, (ie: "be at XX tier by June first to get June's rewards", but they never explicitly state that) however the patreon receipt always said I was being charged for the prior month. I've been a sub to American for several years now, and I think American and team are some of the clearest when it comes to instructions regarding which tier needs to be selected by which date. HOWEVER, it may be worth having a pinned post for newbies explaining this creator charges at the beginning of the month for the month we're going into, or start including a "rewards payment" or "tier change deadline" or some similar tag on posts that are reminding followers when their tiers need to changed by. The TL;DR inconsistently across the platform sucks and makes things confusing for people who are new to a creator. A general pinned post or specific post tags may be beneficial to newcomers, if these aren't already in play.

Seems you didn't actually set your tier as instructed and just 'added money' to the lowest tier. Hence the error. I'll PM you

As far as I can see it just took out $35 AUD which is roughly $27 USD so I don't think I then qualify :(

Good point! We generally talk in USD However, if you changed to the one that should be easily identifiable as the $35 tier, you should still be charged the right amount, even in your local currency.

I'll admit, when I first read about the $35 tier, I thought the art print was a one time occurrence. It's rather nice to know that I will have more beautiful art hanging around my home. Thank you so much for clarifying that.

Oh about that art print tier, are the options to choose from the prints from the store? Or any that has been a print in patreon? I'm aiming to get a print and just wondering how it works in the end

Hello! Sorry to ask again but does it matter what currency the $35 was in? I had not realised till after I was charged it was in my local currency and not USD.
