They are large, tentacled crustaceans that are sensitive to light and only emerge during storms. They invade the dreams of sailors to lure ships to their demise and add to their collection of treasures and shipwrecks. They are known for their calculating and merciless nature, and some coastal communities make offerings to them in hopes of appeasing their greed. They have tentacles that can sting and weaken their victims, and can regrow them if they are cut.
